Tim's Tag for June & Celebration Time

Hi Folks,

Yes, I'm Celebrating!!  DD has finished University - the results are in.............She got a ' First' in Pharmacy
I can't tell you how proud I am.  The results came out at midnight on Thursday/Friday and I got the phone call at 12.02am. - yes,  I was staying up as well - don't think I would have slept not knowing.
I am also celebrating (that's what it's called, but I just think  'Oh NO - another year older!) a Birthday at the end of this month, AND I have reached '102' Followers!!!  What an achievement that is - Thanks to you.

I would like to celebrate with 'candy',  so you do need to be  a 'Follower'  - and  leave a comment at the end of this post and all names will be put into a hat and I will get DD to draw on her Graduation Day - 6th July.  I would do a 'sticky post'  but don't know how to!!    So watch this space to see if I find out....I will also post a picture tomorrow (tonight's photo was rubbish)

Back to business ..........after making the May tag for Tim's  2021 Tags, I was told it would be addictive - and it is.
I've been a bit short on 'play time' this month, but yesterday was another miserable day weather wise, but perfect for the craft room - so TTT - (Tim's Tag Time) so here is my Tag for June 2010
I followed the instructions and already had some images from here, but had to improvise a lot as I didn't have any of the embellishments.  Pen nib is stamped onto silver card, cut out and shaped.  Satin ribbon rose, is coloured with Distress Stain, made my own Tissue Tape, the film strip is stamped onto Acetate and the number is  silver card, cut out  with Vintage Market Die.  Card tab, and of course you can see the safety pin and paper clip!
Having said all that - I did enjoy the challenge!!.

Thanks for looking,

Avril xx

Oh, congratulations Avril. That degree result really is an achievement and will have taken an immense amount of hard work. You must be bursting with pride.
Well done on your followers milestone too. More hard work and dedication required for this.
Love your tag and so glad to see someone else who has to improvise. Hope this run of good fortune continues. Hugs, Buttons x

What a beautiful tag Avril, you really do do Tim well!

HUge congratulations to your daughter I know how proud you are (I've been there!)

To make a sticky post: do your post as normal and once it is up, go back into edit it and change the date to when you want it to stay at the top till - simples!
Not sure if that is the technical way but it works for me lol

Hi Avril,
Congratulations to your daughter, you must be so proud.
Happy birthday for the end of the week, remember it's only a number, just eat lots of cake!!
And well done on reaching over 100 followers, you must be so excited, I know I would be.
I love your Timmie tag, the colour is perfect and the photo is so sweet. I don't always have the same stash that he's used but we crafters can usually come up with something to create the look. Yours is spot on. Thanks for the link to the site with the free pictures byt he way. enjoy whats left of the weekend. I'm off to do my tag now xxx

Oh wow!!! Congratulations to your daughter you must be so proud and she must be elated. I wish her every success in her first post.
The tag here is, of course, beautiful as ever.Very creative with your improvisation - it's one of the reasons I haven't had a go at them yet - my poor brain would be aching after just one I fear! (I'm just a little too mean to buy all Tim's little bits and pieces!).
Happy Birthday for when it comes too!!

By the way, I'm following you via my blog rolls, that's more easy for me as I'm not looking to my dashboard very often ;) Hope that counts, too.

Hi Avril, I just commented on your sticky post for the candy which didn't say you had to be a follower but here it does say you do. Anyway I just don't do any following, I rarely look up the ones I did join years ago although I do use my bookmarks on my browser for favourites iyswim. Anyway enough of that, thanks for your comment on my June Timmyness the typewriter wasn't a bad alternative. I love how you have made the pen nib for your tag, excellent. In fact the whole tag is super, so too is you May one. Yep I'm sure you'll be hooked now. I started with his 12 tags last Christmas and even managed the one a day which was quite a feat. You learn so much doing them and the ideas for alternatives help too. Thanks BJ
