Fashionable Handmade Flowers!

Hi Folks,

The challenge this fortnight at Fashionable Stamping  is Floral or Handmade Flowers or both - the choice is yours!
For my card I have used Stampendous Rose Corset, coloured with Distress Inks, the backing border is my new TH Embossing folder , distressed with Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans. The webbing is also coloured with Faded Jeans.  The  floral paper is Papermania Blueberry Hill.
For my flowers I used Cor'dinations and the TH Tattered Floral die. a little bit of sanding and some glossy accents.
The rest of the DT have some fabulous 'floral creations' on show, so please pop over to FSC and take a look.  Remember though, we are a stamping challenge and need to see at least one real stamp on your entry.

Hi Folks,

Well after bombarding you with lots of posts last week, I don't know what happened to this week!
This card has been on my desk all week in various stages waiting to be assembled and if I'm not quick I'll miss the challenges it was designed for!
The image is from Inkylicious, borrowed from crafty friend Diane.
The challenge over at Craft Room is Pins/Charms -  improvised and made my own from a broken pearl necklace. The feathers and organza ribbon were both died with a mix of Bundled Sage and Tumbled Glass DI.
I stitched all layers, I love this effect - don't know why I don't do it more often !

I also am entering this in:
  That Craft Place - Vintage
Craft your Passion - The Power of Three (3 pins)
Created with Love - 3 of a Kind
Crafting for All Seasons - Stitching
Divas by Design - Anything Goes

I must tell you my news - I was a 'Perfect Pinky' over at In the Pink, if you haven't been there, pop over, its a new challenge for anyone who loves  - yes, you guessed - PINK!

That's it for now, hope you all have a good Bank Holiday weekend and fingers crossed it doesn't rain too much!

Glitter, Glitter - everywhere!

Hi Folks,

The challenge over at the Stamp Man this fortnight is 'Precious Medals/Metals' and while I was playing with this IndigoBlu stamp during the week, I though I would try 'Ella Bella' with some Gilding Flakes, instead of keeping them just for Christmas! I love the effect this gives, although very difficult to photograph! Yesterday I managed to complete this for my 'Precious Metal' offering at the StampMan, and set to with my 'home made Frantage' - gold ep, chunky gold glitter, and silver/blue mix glitter - there seemed to be as much glitter on me as on the card! (tell you a secret - it was even in my bra! -???)
The black base  layers are embossed with CB Textile folder.

I am also entering this in:
Chocolate,Coffe Cards - Emboss (corners and base layers)
  Charisma Cards - Monochrome
Shopping our Stash - New or Re-visit a technique (haven't used Gilding since Christmas)

Thats  it for now, hope you all have a great weekend.

This week we ae asked to follow the steps on p.61 using Cor'dinations, and the challenge is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

I bought a pack of this a while ago, and then in one of my 'tidy-ups' put it away and it hasn't been used for a while - it won;t be going back in the drawer!  I used my new TH embossing folder, love this frame, and although I wanted a very shabby look, used some Spun Sugar DI.

Thas it for now, but I will be back to do some catching up tonight.

Less is More - Feathers!

Two posts in one day - so I'll make it very short!

The challenge over at Less is More is Fur or Feathers - I've opted for feathers, literally!

This stamp has been very neglected -its a Clarity stamp, as is the verse. Just simply stamped in black versamark .
Told you it was short,

Ice Cream Colours at FSC

Hi Folks,

Well its summer! so what better way to enjoy it than an Ice Cream and  our challenge over at Fashionable
Stamping this fortnight is to show us your favourite Ice cream colours.
There's an fabulous Ice Cream Parlour not too far from where I live that does the most amazing flavours - my favourites are Turkish Delight, Pistachio and Wild Cherry with a little bit of Bubblegum on the side! and you can see all of these colours in my card.

The image is IndigoBlu  'All Saints' stamped and then inked with DI's Bundled Sage, (Pistachio) Tumbled Glass (Bubblegum) Spun Sugar (Turkish Delight) and edged with Dusty Concord (wild cherry), the same colours were used on the base layer of the card, the flourish is Crafty Individuals.

The rest of the DT have some delicious offerings to tempt you, so please pop over to see if you can guess their favourite flavour, and then, we would like to know what yours is. Hope you can join us on this fun challenge.

I am entering this in:

Divas by Design - For a Female
Simon Says Stamp - Bingo (Ribbon/Free/Bloom)

Perfect Pearls and CC2C

Hi Folks,

I'm back with the  results of my 'play day' for the challenge over at Studio L3 which is CC2C  page 54,
 Perfect Pearls Mist.
I started off by playing with the dress form and loved how it turned out, so then tried it on the Tattered Floral daisy.  The  photographs don't do it justice, this is a fabulous technique.

The white panel is the same  embossing folder, inked with Black Soot before running through the CB. The black cardstock  was inked with Versamark and brushed with Perfect Pearls powder.

I am also entering this in:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Love to Create - Punches & Dies
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Come and Get It - Adult Birthday Card
  Corrosive Challenges - Birthday cards
Joanna Sheen - Try Something New (new technique)

I would just like to say 'hello' to my new followers and  thank you for choosing to follow my blog, I really do appreciate it - and you.

Vintage - Number Seven

Hi Folks,  Hope your are all enjoying the weekend and hopefully didn't get caught in any of today's 'showers' - we had hailstones!
Just thought I would share a card I made last weekend for DD starting her new job.  I bought the image at Harrogate GNP  in March, couldn't resist it - as DD's Pharmacy job is with..............you know who!
I wanted a 'clinical' look to the card, rather than the beauty aspect, so opted for Black & white.  I stamped straight onto card that had been embossed with Graces Frame in the CB. The base layer was embossed with Swiss Dots and a computer sentiment.

That's it for now, I've had a lovely play day - now I need to make them into something!

A couple of challenges for this card:
  Totally Papercrafts - Monochrome
PaperPlay challenges - Layer it Up
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes
ATC's & Cards with Attitude - Anything Goes
  Inky Impressions - Embossing

Less Is More

Hi Folks,

I haven't managed to enter many of my favourite challenges lately even when LIM last weeks was sewing !

I always find when I have missed LIM the first one back is a real challenge.  This week its a sketch at Less Is More.  The sketch looked great - inspirational cards from Chrissy & Mandy looked great!  Had a little me time today to make my card, went to enter and that's when I read Chrissy's description of her card - I had done very similar, I was going to change, but hey ho, its made!  I hope you don't mind Chrissy!

I made a few pieces with Winter Pansy's in April after reading an article in Craft Stamper, I love the way the big pansy has come through.

Thats it for now, and thanks for looking
