People at FSC

Another 2 weeks have just passed by so quickly and it's time for another challenge at Fashionable Stamping and this time it's Challenge 99!!   Our lovely teamie Amanda chose the theme this time round and it's 'Use a Person or People'.  All the details can be found on the main blog, but remember, we are a stamping challenge and do need to see real stamping that follows the theme.
We have Flonzcraft as our sponsor and they are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.
I've used  the 'Girls' from Artistic Outposts Generation Redux and teamed them with words from the Diesel Punk set.  My background was a 'mop up'  and I stamped in Black Archival.  The 'angel wings' were made from Tim Holtz Butterfly Duo and cut in vellum with some Frosted Lace Stickles smeared over them.
I am entering this at Artistic Outpost's Show Us your Art.

Thank you for your visit today, I do appreciate it, especially as I have been such a bad visitor lately. We've been having a few alterations done at home and of course decorating and on top of that, the craft room revamp.  Also, everything was was to a time scale as we had a holiday booked, so this is a scheduled post, as we are 'up in the air' -  hopefully, the internet will be good and I can do some catching up.

Whatever you're doing, hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Crowning Glory at Try it on Tuesday

There's a new challenge at Try it on Tuesdays and this fortnight it's   'Crowning Glory'  - in other words, we would like to see a Crown on your project.
I've used an old stamp from Lost Coast Designs called Prom Night, which was stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia and just shaded with Vintage Photo around the edges.  I also randomly stamped a Tim Holtz Crown into Kraft card  and heat embossed with Gold EP for the next shabby layer.

I've had an unexpected Craft Room makeover,  so,  there's been no crafting and very little blog visiting for the last couple of weeks.  It was planned for July - but DD and I saw some worktop in Ikea's bargain corner, which was too good to miss -  but with nowhere to store it, DH decided to set to and the old craft room was demolished.  I'm slowly finding new homes for everything and I'm sure it will eventually look tidy - didn't know I had so much stash/rubbish and I've found stamps I'd forgotten I'd bought!
I am entering this at:
Make my Monday - Use Kraft card
  Allsorts - Birthday inspired

Well that's it for now, back to tidying up!

Old favourite for FSC

Hello, it's time to  tell you about the new Challenge at Fashionable Stamping and for this fortnight Esther chose the theme 'Old and Forgotten Favourite'  I think we all have 'favourites of the moment' and then move onto to a 'new' favorite - how fickle are we!
One of my constant favourites is the Tim Holtz Papillion Script, which I have used for the background, this was clear embossed with white EP and then inked with Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey and Vintage Photo DIs. The torn layer is a Kaisercraft stamp, a favourite of the moment, that hasn't been inked in ages. I coloured the bottle and then added Glossy Accents, avoiding the label.  My sentiment, a Tim Holtz stamp, which was a definite favourite, hadn't been inked in a while for some reason, but is back to being a current favourite now, this was stamped on vellum. The butterfly was cut from a mop up tag, and coated with Rock Candy Crackle paint.

It would be lovely if you could join us for this challenge, but remember we must see real stamping on your project which must follow the theme.  We have Flonzcraft as our sponsor, who are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.
The rest of the DT are showing their favourites, so pleas pop over to the main blog for all the details.
I am entering this at:
Crafty Calendar - Thing with Wings
  That Craft Place - Tags

Have a great day whatever you're doing.

Sewing and Buttons at TioT

Hello, time to tell you about the  new challenge at Try it on Tuesday with this fortnight is 'Sewing and Buttons',
I decided to do something similar to a project I'd seen a while ago on Hels Sheridan's blog.  My frame is actually a recycled chocolate box and after applying a couple of coats of Gesso I used the Doily stencil embossing paste and then PaperArtsy Taupe paint, rubbed back with a baby wipe. I've had the sewing themed papers for a while and unfortunately they have lost their packaging.
The rest of the DT have some fabulous inspiration for you so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.
I am entering this at:
Altered Eclectics - Anything Goes but cards
Scrap it Girl - Sewing and Stitching

That's it for now,  have a great day,

Paris Postcard

Don't you just love it when you actually manage to use up those bits that are lying around, I know I'm always full of good intentions, but then the bits just pile up. Had a little tidy up and came across these bits of card in my little 'spray booth' (its a big boots box really).   Golds, brass and pewter sprays amongst other things on the bottom layer and lots of Vintage Photo spray on the next layer. The main image is from Artistic Outposts Paris Exposition coloured with distress inks. My flower is papercraft clay coloured with distress inks.
I am entering this at:
Artistic Outpost Show Us Your Art - Anything Goes
  Vintage Stamping - Shabby Chic
Crafty Cardmakers - Make your own Background

Thanks for visiting, especially when time seems so short these days.

Fly Home Little Heart

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Fashionable Stamping and this time it was my turn to pick the theme, Things with Wings.
A few weeks ago you may remember I did a workshop with Hels Sheridan using the Melt pot and Beeswax, and, so I don't forget, decided to do another. I started with a piece of mountboard, cut a piece of music paper, (I thought the title of 'Fly Home Little Heart' was quite appropriate with this image) some random stamping. then came the papers, again some random stamping and all shaded with Dusty concord. My main image, I've had for a long time and don't remember the make,Tim Holtz sentiment and then everything coated with the hot beeswax.
My flower, cut from the same paper pad, also got the wax treatment along with a couple of extra butterflies for dimension. This was a bit difficult to photograph, but it does have a wonderful sheen thanks to the beeswax.
It would be lovely if you could join us for this challenge, and one lucky random winner will receive a $20 online spend from our sponsor Flonzcraft.  Don't forget, we are a stamping challenge and must see stamping on your project.  Please pop over to the main blog for all the details and to see the wonderful makes from the rest of the DT.
I am entering this at:

Well that's it for now, hope you're enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend.
