Mid post reminder for Silhouettes at TioT

Hello and thanks for visiting, I've set myself a  challenge this year - to play at journalling, I say to 'play'  - because it feels like 'playing' and also I don't really know what I'm doing,( and they're only single pages at the moment  but  I will make a folder for them - better than spoiling a book just yet)  but the online Creative Ink course did give me the push that I needed.
I've again taken inspiration from our challenge this fortnight at Try it on Tuesday which is Silhouettes - so out came Mr Umbrella Man, and of course he had to have raindrops - but the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that they look more like bombs, I kept thinking they didn't look quite right and it wasn't until I uploaded the photo that I realised they were upside down -  silly me!!  so warts and all as they say.
You still have one more week to link up to Tiot's challenge and you will find all the details here

Thanks for popping by and any comments you leave are really appreciated.

Lovely piece Avril - I did just the same with the raindrops, and it took weeks till I notices they were upside down! Hugs, Valerie

It's looks like a great playtime to me Avril and see my fav sunray stencil there as well. And I think with a bit of artistic licence the raindrops make good cobblestones.

I love the layout and the colours that you've used and I think the sentiment works perfectly with the image. I hadn't noticed the raindrops being upside down till you mentioned them. I know exactly what you mean about journal pages, I think they look amazing but I never know where to start with them myself. I really like what you've made here though Avril X

Fab journal page ..... I love the colours and the silhouettes are so striking. If you hadn't have said anything I probably wouldn't have noticed the raindrops were upside down!! Linda xx

This is lovely playtime, Avril - beautiful blended colours, and Umbrella Man always makes me happy! Love those giant water droplets on the ground too.

It's great that the individual pages are making you feel free to play... I really don't think you should think of it as "spoiling" a book though!!

Oh dear - I have fallen way behind again -- and I don't want to miss a thing!!!!!
So this is a journal page - wonderful -- I love every jot and tittle about it! The sentiment is perfect -- and that certainly is the truth. We don't find ourselves - we create ourselves.
