It's all about Nature at TioT

Hello,  and thanks for visiting as today sees the start of a new challenge at Try it on Tuesdays, where we have 'Nature' as the theme for the next 2 weeks.
I've had another play with Brushos for my background this time I opted for Violet and Yellow, I know it does look blue on here!  I've used the Tim Holtz Wildflower stamps again with Black Archival and clear embossing powder.   The rest of the DT have some fabulous Nature inspired projects, so please pop over to the main blog where you will also find all the details.
I had a fabulous holiday visiting Kuala Lumpur, Cambodia and then a much needed chill on the beach in Penang.  Unfortunately, I developed a sore throat, cough and sneezes on the long journey home, so it's taking me a while to get myself back on track, but hopefully I'm on the mend now.  Just as well, as I am about to start  a new adventure on the crafty scene.   Just before I went on holiday I was asked if I would like to join the Design Team at Artistic Outpost - so of course I said..... YES, and as of today I am officially part of the Team.
Hopefully I'll catch up with the over the next couple of days,
Avril xx

Sorry to hear about the snuffles you have now, but what memories you must have! This is gorgeous, I love that colour combination - Spring flowers for sure, and your beautiful wildflower silhouette is a sign that more flowers are on their way! Hugs, Chrisx

The violet brusho is one of my favourites Avril and it goes very nicely with yellow and the silhouette image.

It's ironic that Brushos have not made it big here in the States. I've been in love with them ever since I saw them nearly two years ago at some of my UK friends' blogs. They have never shown up at my local mixed media store or even the big box stores here.

Having said that, this is a genuinely beautiful piece.

This is a lovely card Avril. I think that silhouette stamps work beautifully on a brusho background and I love the violet and yellow together, they look so clean and fresh. Many congratulations on you new DT post, they are lucky to have you and I know you'll do them proud as all of your artwork is amazing. Wishing you well on your new crafting adventure. Sandra X X

I've got 4 brusho colors, I must admit I find using them a bit more tricky than I thought. I'm not a random type of designer and with these powders I need to accept random, don't I. I think your background turned out looking fantastic, it really suits this silhouette image.
