Glitter, Glitter - everywhere!

Hi Folks,

The challenge over at the Stamp Man this fortnight is 'Precious Medals/Metals' and while I was playing with this IndigoBlu stamp during the week, I though I would try 'Ella Bella' with some Gilding Flakes, instead of keeping them just for Christmas! I love the effect this gives, although very difficult to photograph! Yesterday I managed to complete this for my 'Precious Metal' offering at the StampMan, and set to with my 'home made Frantage' - gold ep, chunky gold glitter, and silver/blue mix glitter - there seemed to be as much glitter on me as on the card! (tell you a secret - it was even in my bra! -???)
The black base  layers are embossed with CB Textile folder.

I am also entering this in:
Chocolate,Coffe Cards - Emboss (corners and base layers)
  Charisma Cards - Monochrome
Shopping our Stash - New or Re-visit a technique (haven't used Gilding since Christmas)

Thats  it for now, hope you all have a great weekend.

Avril xx

  5. It's really lovely Avril, the image stand out beautifully with a gilding flakes.

I bought myself the Indigo Blue glue and gilding products, but so far all I've achieved is extremely sticky fingers,a very messy craft mat and a pretty full waste bin. It might be a technique that is just a step too far with my dexterity problems.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

  6. Wow, it looks wonderful Avril! I have avoided these flakes but every time I see a piece of work using them they scream at me to buy them! You've really managed to photograph it so well too - very tricky with anything sparkly!

I love using the flakes, although they can get everywhere. Love your 'homemade Frantage', great colours and texture and the glitter is stunning. Worth getting covered in the stuff I think. xx
