Halloween for Softies

H Folks,

The challenge over at Try it on Tuesday is Halloween -  and although there are some fabulous stamps around, I don't have any - think I must rectify this!

So my take on Halloween this year has been 'un-spooky' to say the least!

For this tag I have used a Lavinia image of a witches washing line, left while she went off the the Party. (Well you have to have a good imagination for Halloween)

I used my brayer for the reflective image and the little scene was made with Distress inks.  The moon is Clarity Stamps, birds Tim Holtz.

For some 'good' inspiration, check out the fabulous makes from the rest of the team here, you wont be disappointed, and while you are there - check out the news - Try it on Tuesdays are having a DT Call.
If you are interested, enter the  challenge and put DT after your name, its as easy as that!

Before I go I would just like to say 'hello' to my new followers and thank you to everyone who visits, I really do appreciate it.

I am entering this at
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
  Hooked on Crafts - Halloween
  The Pink Elephant - Halloween
  Dream Valley Challenges - Halloween

  1. Another great tag Avril, great reflection as well.

I nearly succumbed to that image at Lavinia the other day and I think I'm going to have to pop back there.

  10. Witches washing, what a fab idea! I always think of them as mucky & smelly for some reason but hey, who says that I am right. Love this card & plan to join the challenge now that I am back home.

  21. Avril, I give you an A+ on this tag! The most original idea for Halloween I've seen in a long time and I think it's sensational. For not having any spooky stamps, you've certainly come through with a fantastic creation. Love the way you did the moon and the brayer scene is created so well. Looks like fog in the air and the sentiment...perfect!
Thank you so much for taking the time to link up your talent and creative ideas with us at Make It Monday!
    Happy Crafting...

  22. My imagination always goes to town and on this one, I think the witch is doing a little skinny dipping and has hung up her laundry to dry while she gives herself her "yearly" wash, after all a witch has to look stunning when going trick or treating! lol Great tag! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

  26. Hi Avril, It's such a lovely tag, and so different from the halloween views we've become used to, congratulations! I'm off to look at the rest of your blog now, and I'm preparing to be amazed if this entry is anything to go by. It's nice to see my favourite Clarity stamps being combined with those from other companies. You have created a mini masterpiece, thanks for showing us.
    Happy creating,
