The weeks are just flying by - and its time for another challenge at Fashionable Stamping and this time Shirley has chosen Shabby Chic Christmas - so a good excuse to make another Christmas card. We are again sponsored by Flonzcraft who are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in the online store.
Although I make a lot of vintage I don't always make them 'shabby' - so this was a bit different for me.
I have used a Flonzcraft Gibson kids stamp for my main image, isn't he so cute! My blue layer was embossed using a Tim Holtz Snowflake EF, which was then inked with a White Versamark and heat embossed using 'Snowflake' EP, I also embossed the edges of this and the image with it.
My shabby background was stamped with a Stampendous Christmas Greetings, then distressed with Tumbled Glass and Pumice Stone.

ReplyDeleteAvril your card is wonderful and it looks like you reached into your grandmother's trunk and pulled it out. Of course she used acid free product so nothing would yellow!!! I agree with Valerie - texture but soft texture.
