Anyhow, on to the challenge - for this fortnight it's 'Add some Fabric' but please NO ribbon.
I was given some hessian a while ago, thanks Diane, and so far have just added it as a trim, but after seeing a few Burlap panel projects, I decided to make my own by covering a piece of 6" x 4" cardboard packaging.
I used the Tim Holtz Gothic stencil with embossing paste, then some Vintage Photo and Tarnished Brass Spray Stains, when it was dry, I brushed some PA Snowflake paint onto the embossing. My sentiment was stamped onto tissue and heat embossed with clear EP and attached with watered down PVA. My flower is the large Daisy from the Tattered Florals.
Last week at the craft show I saw bags of hessian for £1.50 (1/2 meter of 90" wide - bargain) so you might see more of these!
The rest of the DT have come up with some fabulous inspiration pieces, so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.
I am entering this at:
Crafty Cardmakers - Something Old/Something New ( Old - hessian flower die, texture paste sentiment.
New - Tim Holtz stencil and technique)
Allsorts - Spring Flowers
Country View Challenges - Something New (new stencil and new technique)
Before I go, I would just like to say 'hello' to my newest follower, it's lovely to see you, and hopefully, it won't be as long before I manage to get back here.
Avril xx
