Hello, it's time for a new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday and this time it's 'Create a Scene' which can be any kind of scene - of the crafting type of course!
I've been busy with Christmas cards, and used the Winter Cabin from Inkylicious for my scene. I cut an oval in some card to use as a mask and stamped through it using Potting Soil Archival, I add some hills in the background with the tip of a tree stamp, the sky was coloured with Chipped Sapphire DI. I then used the oval to mask off the scene, I used a Snowflake stencil with Versamark ink and White EP, heat set and then shaded the card with Tumbled Glass, Faded jeans and Chipped Sapphire DIs.
The rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration for you, so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.
I am entering this at:
Fantasy Stampers - Winter Wonderland
Rubber Dance - Blue and Tis the Season
Penny Black and More - Anything Christmas
Well that's another Christmas card suitable for the post, almost finished now.

A beautifully created scene Avril I can even feel the chill of winter from here. All the snowflakes in the background give this piece a very tranquil look.

ReplyDeleteHi Avril
ReplyDeleteI've been absent from Blogland for too long and am trying to catch up a bit. I spotted your gorgeous card and had to come and have a closer look. It's stunning. i bought that stamp at Harrogate in October but it hasn't yet been shown any ink. i think I need to rectify that.
Hope you are keeping well.

What a great scene and the snow look so real. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAvril, this is absolutely beautiful! I love the snowy effect and that stamped image is just gorgeous! Takes my breath away! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis card is gorgeous Avril. I love the cool, winter blues that you've used and the white against them. I also really like the colour of ink that you've stamped the cabin with. It's given a lovely, clear image impression but it's not as harsh as using black. You've also achieved a wonderful depth to the card with the snow that you've used. This is one of my favourite new stamps and you've definitely provided me with some great inspiration x
ReplyDeleteThis really caught my eye in the gallery, it is so pretty and so effective, I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us at Penny Black & More this month.
