Inspiration has been a little slow with all this heat so I opted for an easy option and followed a recent tutorial by Jenny using Gesso and Oxide ink for the base of the card, I also blended on Frayed Burlap to give the panel a more aged look. I also liked how she had used the Ornate Trims, and as I'd just bought these, used that as a guide. I then stamped a leaf section from the Glorious Bouquet in Forest Moss before adding some die cut Garden Greens.

ReplyDeleteThose flowers are displayed beautifully Avril and delicately painted. I'm so glad I did not plant any new plants this year as they really would have not survived the heat. I'm happy watching the Butterflies and Bees dance around in the lavender and avoiding looking at the very yellow grass!!

I know exactly what you mean about the heat Avril, I don’t feel too inspired myself at the moment. Your card is beautiful and your layout is superb. Just spotted this delicate spray of flowers. Very pretty. I must own up to having bought some oxides but they still have the cellophane wrappers on them. I'm off to the naughty step!! Hugs Mrs A.
