Simplicity

Hello,  it's been a while - good intentions but real life just got in the way.

Anyhow, the theme at Art Journal Journey this month is Words to Live By chosen by Halle.

A simple page with torn die cuts Gessoed and then Oxide sprays in Dried Marigold and Twisted Citron.  Some stencilling in Wild Honey Oxide before stamping the large butterfly and quote from the TH Perspective set.  I do love this quote as I sometimes think we make life more complicated than it needs to be, or is that just me!

Thanks for calling in and hopefully this little blog won't be so neglected.

Edited to add - I'm prompting myself to enter a few of my favourite challenges and so I'm going to link this up to Penny Black and More where the theme this month is Blooms, Butterflies and/or Bugs.

Avril xx

  10. So nice the embossed corners, the fresh yellow color and the lovely butterfly in the middle, a great card dear Avril.
Always a joy to see your nice Artworks.
Women have a lot of jobs to do in life, there is often not so much time for hobbies they wished to have. I know that also well.
    Have a wonderful summertime.

  20. Lots of yummy texture here, but beautifully kept in the background, so the focal point is the image. Lovely art :-)
