At Try it on Tuesday we're starting the year on a very positive note with our first challenge - Uplifting or Positive Quote.
My journaling has been very neglected over the last couple of months, so on a positive note it was a good place to start. Ink sprays in Old paper, Antique Linen and Tattered Rose for the background with some second generation stamping in Versafine Vintage Sepia. My main images were stamped onto tissue paper and then coloured with distress crayons. The quote is a Tim Holtz stamp.
I am joining in with Erika's theme over at Art Journal Journey - Favourite things - new favourite flower stamp.

Wonderful and inspiring words and your girl and flowers are awesome. That flower stamp is beautiful so I see why it is a favorite of yours. Wonderful vintage feel to this - one of my favorite things.
Don't be alarmed but my first thought when I saw your beautiful card was "arsenic and old lace". Okay, I admit, I am a bit weird and somewhat crazy. Your card really is lovely and reminds me of something one might find in an old trunk in the attic. Very delicate with a slight musty smell.

I promised myself I wouldn't be late visiting my Art Journal Journey friends, but here I am running late and several days have passed that I've missed. It started when I lost electricity on January 1 and hasn't allowed me to catch up due to the cold that still prevails in my home.
Not only did you start out with a positive message, you started out with vintage romance. This is dainty and delicate and I love it. It's also a great entry for Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey.
This is so pretty Avril, a feminine touch with that lace cut corner. Journaling is something that's waiting for us anytime of the year and always so forgiving. A beautiful start to the year.. lets keep that positive flag held high!!
