Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time we are celebrating Autumn. I love Autumn colours and the leaves are starting to change colour, so that was the choice for my card. Yesterday when I took the twins for a walk, the leaves were falling from the trees and the twins came home with a gorgeous selection of coloured leaves (can't wait until there are lots down and we can go jumping in them)
I recently followed a video from Tracy Dutton (Lavinia).
I've used an assortment of little stamps to build up my Autumn Wreath, and stamping the sentiment, which was a magazine freebie. A little light stenciling just to add some extra shading.
The rest of the DT have some great samples to share with you, so please pop over to the main blog where you will find all the challenge details.
Thanks for calling in, I'm on Grandma duties again, the twins are now 21 months, so another busy day ahead, but there will be a large glass of red at the end of it - I'll need it!
Have a great day,
Avril xx
Beautiful card Avril, just love the wreath and that verse is a favourite as I do love autumn.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the twins, hard work for sure but a glass of the red stuff is a fair enough reward..:)) xx
Yes, you'll need that glass later Avril. Love your card, beautifully done.

ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous autumn card Avril. And I hope you enjoy that big glass of red at the end of the day. I bet you do need it after a day with your grandkids. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and colours. My daughter used to love shuffling through the leaves as a child. (Probably secretly does). We lived then on a tree lined street so there was always an abundance on the pavements in the Autumn. Happy days. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wreath and verse-love the delicate stencilling too, enjoy your wine

I hope the leaves fall quickly so you can take the twins jumping in the leaves, it was my favourite thing to do when I was little - well really it still is ...lol 😊. Your card is beautiful, loving how you built up the autumnal wreath with those amazing colours - perfect! Thanks for the inspiration and Happy October! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card - I love those layers of leaves. Hugs, Chrisx
