Graduation Card
Hi Folks,
Just thought I would share the card I made for DD'a Graduation now that she has it.
I can't take credit for the style of the card, I saw this on Splitcoast Stampers and thought what a great idea.
I added the verse, die cut with a Nesti, and it fits under the Mortar Board nicely! The little tassel was made with embroidery cotton.
Don't know whether its the black/white, but sorry for the poor photo!
I am entering this card in:
Charisma card challenges - Anythiung Goes
Ruby's Rainbow - Black/White & any other colour (red Tassel)
Scrapbook Sisters - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Chocolate,coffee & cards - Anything Goes
Fussy & Fancy - Fancy Folds
Thats it for now, busy weekend, but will be back on Sunday with my FSC DT card.
Thanks for looking

See you then.

I forgot!
Hi Folks,
Just a short post, I made this card last week which was for the challenge over at the Stampman - Time or Travel, and guess what - I forgot to post it!
I have used IndigoBlu stamps that I bought at a recent craft show, I wanted to make it 'girly' and used Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick as well as some Antique Linen to tone it down lightly. The stamping is all done with Memento Rich Cocoa. My flower is made from an old book page, some gold organza ribbon and lace, its misted with bronze perfect pearls and is quite sparkly, although that doesn't show in the photo.
I would like to say 'hello' to my new followers Darnell and May, lovely to see you! My Celebration Candy is still open for another week, so you still have time to enter.
So - I will enter this card into:
Crafty Creations - 3 Different embellishments (Flower, swirl and ribbon)
Love to Create - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Paper Playtime - Anything goes with a Sentiment
Thanks for looking,
Avril xx

Less is More - and not last minute!
I have missed the last couple of challenges over at Less is More and and sometimes I am in there by the skin of my teeth! So I thought I really must make an effort this week as the theme is 'Paper Piecing' something I enjoy, but haven't done for a while.
I have used Hero Arts Gracious Lady, and I am sorry to say that this lovely lady has been neglected lately due to new additions - I am really going to make an effort to use ALL of my stamps. She was stamped onto white card and I sponged a little Antique Linen DI around the edges. Decided to mat her on the same red paper used for her coat and hat, but something was missing, so added another layer of black - matches with the black Hero Arts stamped sentiment!
I am also entering this card in Crafty Ribbons - CAS
That's it for now, and thanks for all the lovely comments re DD and the Celebration Candy

Tim's Tag for June & Celebration Time
Yes, I'm Celebrating!! DD has finished University - the results are in.............She got a ' First' in Pharmacy
I can't tell you how proud I am. The results came out at midnight on Thursday/Friday and I got the phone call at 12.02am. - yes, I was staying up as well - don't think I would have slept not knowing.
I am also celebrating (that's what it's called, but I just think 'Oh NO - another year older!) a Birthday at the end of this month, AND I have reached '102' Followers!!! What an achievement that is - Thanks to you.
I would like to celebrate with 'candy', so you do need to be a 'Follower' - and leave a comment at the end of this post and all names will be put into a hat and I will get DD to draw on her Graduation Day - 6th July. I would do a 'sticky post' but don't know how to!! So watch this space to see if I find out....I will also post a picture tomorrow (tonight's photo was rubbish)

Back to business ..........after making the May tag for Tim's 2021 Tags, I was told it would be addictive - and it is.
I've been a bit short on 'play time' this month, but yesterday was another miserable day weather wise, but perfect for the craft room - so TTT - (Tim's Tag Time) so here is my Tag for June 2010
I followed the instructions and already had some images from here, but had to improvise a lot as I didn't have any of the embellishments. Pen nib is stamped onto silver card, cut out and shaped. Satin ribbon rose, is coloured with Distress Stain, made my own Tissue Tape, the film strip is stamped onto Acetate and the number is silver card, cut out with Vintage Market Die. Card tab, and of course you can see the safety pin and paper clip!
Having said all that - I did enjoy the challenge!!.
Thanks for looking,

Compendium of Curiosities Vol 2
Hi Folks
I have been trying to finish this tag all day - but here I am - by the skin of my teeth entering the CC Vol challenge at Studio L3 which is week 10 - Tissue Wrap Flowers p.37. and this week they are sponsored by The Funkie Junkie's Boutique.
I didn't have any Tissue Wrap, so made my own and stamped a music score in Black, but I did follow the technique, and because this quit a large flower - started off at 3" x 3", thought it made a perfect 'skirt'
The shading on the tag is Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar and Bundled Sage. The flower was inked with Milled Lavender, stamping is Dusty Concord. I know I used the Dress Form on the last tag I entered there, but I think this shows just how versatile it is.
I am also entering this at :
Crafts & Me - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Die Cuts
Simon Says Stamp - Anything but a Card
I would like to say 'hello' to my new followers - I can't believe I have 102!!! WOW!!!
Thank you all for being interested enough to follow and for all the encouraging comments you have left me.

Its Anything Goes - Again!
Hi Folks,
After such a great response to the last challenge at Try it on Tuesday and seeing all that fabulous work, we thought we would give you all another opportunity to show us your 'stuff' so its Anything Goes - Again!
For my piece I have used a Stampboard piece that was embossed with Moonglow EPs that I played with at the workshop a few weeks ago with Jill from The Stamp Man. Jill showed us how to build up the various powders, which all have a fabulous glow to them, (which you can see better in the second photo, although this still doesn't do it justice) and then stamp into the hot mix with a stamp that had been inked with Versamark. The embossed background paper was also made with MoonShadow Inks, which are mica powders mixed in walnut ink - beautiful colours, and of course, had to have a little spend, so you will be seeing more of these products!
The floral base to the card is my new fav. stamp (Stampendous) stamped with Bronze pigment ink and then brushed with a bronze mica powder.
The rest of the Team have made some fabulous creations, so please pop over and take a look.
We would love you to join us, but please do remember - The Rules - only 5 challenge entries including TioT's.
I am entering this card in:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp & Show - A Bit of Brown
Truly Madly Crafty - Monochrome
Hiding in my Craftroom - Embossing
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - Coffee & Cream
Crafty Catz - Embossing
Blockheads challenge - Magic Metal
Thats it for now - but will be back soon!

Nature at Fashionable Stamping
Hi Folks,
The theme this fortnight over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges is 'Nature' which you can interpret anyway you like, flowers, butterflies, grass, birds or a scene, it really is up to you as long as you include at least one real stamp on your creation, and don't forget, there is a Gift Certificate for the winner from our sponsor, Marina at Cottage Crafts.
For my card I cut a square panel inked up a sky and then stamped with some grass stamps from Hobby Art using Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive for the stems and Dusty Concord for the tops - to look like lavender and then spritzed with water for a softer watercolour effect. This was layered onto a purple mat.I decided to make the base of the card in a similar way, with the panel as a 'highlight'.
The rest of the DT have made some gorgeous creations, so if you need some inspiration, please do take a look. you won't be disappointed.
This is a scheduled post, (hope it works) as we are away this weekend at a Wedding in Northumberland. I do hope it stays fine for the Bride as its such a lovely venue with beautiful grounds, it would be a shame if all the photos had to be taken indoors - keep your fingers crossed.
I am entering this card in:
Hotshot Crafts - Distress Inks
Polka Doodles - Summer Scene
Raise the Bar - Summer
Pan Pastels - Summertime
Thanks for looking
