A Clean and Simple Merry Christmas

Good morning, I have the pleasure of being the Guest Designer at Allsorts this week and the theme is CAS - Clean and Simple.

I've used one of my Anita Jeram images from Colorado Craft Co, perfect for a quick and fun card.  I've used a freebie sentiment embossed in Silver Razzel Dazzel embossing powder and glammed up the little scarf and mitts with some red glitter.

Winter Wonderland at Stamping Sensations

It's time for some mid month inspiration for the last challenge of the year at Stamping Sensations where the challenge is Winter Wonderland.

I created my winter scene with stamps from Crafty Individuals, Inkylicious and Lavinia and lots of masking of images.  There's a good sprinkling of glitter, which of course doesn't show in the photo.

It's All About Santa at Try it on Tuesday

It's the last challenge of the year at TioT and the theme is All About Santa.

I love this image by Artisitic Outpost and although he has made an appearance most years, I did want to do something different with it,  so I masked out the top half of the image and added my own little scene with stamps from Lavinia and Inkylicious, making it a one layer card.  As usual, you can't see the sparkle on the snow, it is there.

Winter Wonderland at Stamping Sensations

It's time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and this month it's Winter Wonderland.

Winter Wonderland at TioT

 Winter Wonderland is our new challenge at Try it on Tuesday.

Winter Wonderland for me means gorgeous crisp snowy scenes, so I've used a Tim Holtz stamp for the main image and built up the scene with a couple of magazine freebie stamps. Some shading with inks and a generous sprinkling of Polar White flowersoft for the snow.

We're enjoying a relaxing break away while the twins are away visiting their other grandma - it's peaceful!

Traditional Christmas

 A post that isn't a DT post - now that's a rarity these days - although it does fit in nicely with our current challenge at Try it on Tuesday - Traditional Christmas.

I have been trying to make some Christmas cards - I mean it's such a waste if I get new crafty items and don't use them, which was almost the case with these Crafty Individuals stamps which I bought last year and only made one card with them.  In my defense, I had stamped some of the images on water colour paper and fussy cut them  - now to use them.

I splattered some watercolour card with watered down Tarnished brass stain before stamping the image with Shady Lane Versafine Clair and then added my previously fussy cut and coloured image, raising the pinecone on foam pads and gluing the leaves flat.  A touch of Liquid Pearls on the berries and a gold embossed greeting and verse.  Well that's another  few in the box and I feel better for having used bits up.

Christmas at Stamping Sensations

 The current challenge at Stamping Sensations is Christmas Celebrations and as we're half way through the month, the Design Team are showing more inspiration over on the main blog, and don't forget, there's a fabulous prize of two stamps kindly donated by one of our regular entrants.

I've used an old Stampendous image on white linen cardstock, stamping in Brown Archival and colouring with pencils and Distress inks, with Liquid Pearls for the holly berries, and of course being Christmas, there has to be Frantage falling snow.
