Funkie Junkie Catchin Up

I'm still on my mission to complete the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie style and have been trying to catch up this week as time's running out.    If you've missed my previous posts, all the details of Linda's tags are here, and this challenge is being sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique, so there's also the chance of a prize.

This is my take on Week 3

When I first saw this tag my first thought was a Christmas Stocking, maybe it was the red/white stripes and white trim.  I downloaded a template from the internet, and although I don't have the stripes I do have a stamp.  I've used white glitter for the toe and heel and cut the Merry Christmas in both white and red and offsetting.  I also left the top open so I can fit some money in.

For my take on Week 7 I've used the Plaid background stamped in Fired Brick, my frame was heat embossed with various Moon Glow powders and I pressed a rubber stamp into it while still hot.  The sentiment is an old Anna Griffin stamp inked with Fern Green Archival.  Some Festive Greens and a shabby bow stained with Fired Brick Stain.

Way behind, but here's Week 12

I loved the retro look to this tag and have tried to keep to similar colours and replicating the 'advert' with a  with this Tim Holtz stamp.  I coloured the stamp with Distress Markers and lots of 'huffing' and although it took a few attempts, came out great with the help of the stamp platform - what did we do without it!

Well that's another 3 - only 4 more to go!

I know I've been a hopeless visitor, but no doubt like everyone, time's short, so the only way I can get these tags completed is to be very disciplined when I do have some crafty time - and craft.

Have a great day and if you've called in, thank you.

Avril xx

Three fabulous versions, Avril - I particularly love that candy striped stocking - what a brilliant idea to use the sock shape! The plaid is lovely too, and I really like the burlap strip and fabulous collage image on Number 12.
Good luck with the finishing straight!

Wow, you really are speeding through this challenge now 😁. All three makes are wonderful! The stocking is so cute with the candy stripes and patched toes and sole, and the plaid with the heat embossed frame, holly, sentiment and shabby bow is perfect. I love the retro look of the tag too - stunning! Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog and I hope you had a great weekend! We've just got back after visiting family, we had a fab time and with lots of travelling involved it's nice to be home ...lol 😉. Happy new week! J 😊

You are doing fabulous, Avril! Keep your nose to the grindstone, because you are doing lovely work! All three are gorgeous takes on Linda's, but my favorite is the plaid with the striking black frame and gorgeous embellishments. The stocking is a clever take and wonderful way to gift some money! I love the background paper you chose for #12 and great stamping on that advertisement! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hugs! Sara Emily
