Emboss it at Try it on Tuesday

 

Our new challenge at Try it on Tuesday is Emboss It, so get out your pastes, inks and powders and Embossing folders and join in.

I 've used a 3D Embossing folder on a piece of mop up watercoloured card.  I've tinted with Distress inks and some gilding waxes on the leaves and petals, but unfortunately you can't see the shine they give, with a stamped and gold embossed sentiment to complete.

My first Christmas card for the box, it feels good to have made a start, so let's hope I won't be making a last minute dash this year.

 It's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this fortnight it's Animals (Real or Imaginary).

Meet 'Noof'  he was stamped up during a crafty play date with my friend Diane (thank you) along with those forlorn looking mice - well how would you feel if your best friend was about to be eaten by a giant cat!

He's quite a big stamp (Lavinia) and after adding some colour with a grey pencil (it is grey although it looks a bit green in the photo) I felt it didn't need much, so decided on some Weathered Wood through a circle stencil for the background.

'Feminine' at Stamping Sensations

Good morning, we're starting our September challenge a few days early at Stamping Sensations and we would love to see your 'Feminine' creations.

We have a fabulous prize donated by Stamp Addicts for one lucky random winner and two prizes kindly donated by one of our regular entrants, so in all this month there will be three random winners.

I have quite a few older feminine stamps that just don't seem to get inked up these days, so this was a great opportunity to give this G45 Couture stamp an inking.  I've kept it monochromatic and teamed it with one of the papers from the co-ordinating paper pad and one of the sentiments in the set.  Although it doesn't show, I've added, black glitter to her bracelet and trimmings on her dress  and of course I had to add a real feather.
