Numbers Time at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello and thanks for visiting today - it's time to tell you about the new challenge at Fashionable Stamping, which for this fortnight is 'Numbers' and all the details can be found on the main blog, along with some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the DT.
I need a card for some one who is celebrating a 'big' number, so decided this was a good opportunity to be organised.
My main image and the 'number' are from the Artistic Outpost 'Diesel punk' set.  My background was clear embossed using the TH 'Gothic' stencil and coloured with Antique Linen,Vintage Photo and Tarnished Brass sprays, it has a gorgeous sheen, which is difficult to see in the photo.
My rose......
was made from script paper, and dipped in UTEE in the Melt Pot on one of my first play sessions, I decided to see if this would now take a colour, so, sprayed with the Tarnished Brass, voila! On a recent tidy
up, I discovered a huge bag of skeleton leaves ( you've probably got a bag full too)  think I need to use these more often.
It would be great if you could join us for this challenge, but don't forget, we are a stamping challenge and must see 'real' stamping on your project and this must follow the theme.  We also have Flonzcraft as our Sponsor and they are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.

I am entering this at:
Artistic Outpost - Show us your Art
  Crafts for Eternity - Numbers
Stamping Sensations - Dies & Punches (Die cut leaves and swirl Retro punch for rose)

Enjoy the rest of you weekend,
Avril xx

Add some Fabric at Try it on Tuesdays

Hello!  Welcome to a very neglected Blog - it's a good thing that there's a new Challenge starting today over at Try it on Tuesday, otherwise I might not have even managed a post this week - I wish 'real life' would just behave it's self!
Anyhow, on to the challenge - for this fortnight it's 'Add some Fabric' but please NO ribbon.
I was given some hessian a while ago, thanks Diane, and so far have just added it as a trim, but after seeing a few Burlap panel projects, I decided to make my own by covering a piece of 6" x 4" cardboard packaging.
I used the  Tim Holtz Gothic stencil with embossing paste, then some Vintage Photo and Tarnished Brass Spray Stains, when it was dry, I brushed some PA Snowflake paint onto the embossing.  My sentiment was stamped onto tissue and heat embossed with clear EP and attached with watered down PVA.  My flower is the large Daisy from the Tattered Florals.
Last week at the craft show I saw bags of hessian for £1.50 (1/2 meter of 90" wide - bargain) so you might see more of these!
The rest of the DT have come up with some fabulous inspiration pieces, so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.
I am entering this at:
Crafty Cardmakers - Something Old/Something New ( Old - hessian flower die, texture paste sentiment.
New - Tim Holtz stencil and technique)
   Allsorts - Spring Flowers
Country View Challenges - Something New (new stencil and new technique)

Before I go, I would just like to say 'hello' to my newest follower, it's lovely to see you, and hopefully, it won't be as long before I manage to get back here.

Something New!

Hello, it's time to tell you about our first challenge of 2015 at Fashionable Stamping and it's a nice easy one to get you started - Something New - now that can be new stash,  a new technique or even a new resolution.
We have Flonzcraft as our Sponsor and they are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.
I have used a new image from Flonzcraft, which you can find here, isn't she fab - and such a party girl!
My image was stamped with Archival and then masked before using Brilliant Red Brushos for the background,  I also used Brushos to paint her dress.  My sentiment was computer generated.
The rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration, so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.
I am entering this at:
Vintage Stamping - New Year, New Stash
Country View Crafts - Something New
  Stampinback Challenge - Let's Party
Natalie and Amys - All things New

That's it for today, I'm off to a local craft fayre this morning and meeting up with a couple of friends made through blogging.  Whatever you're up to, enjoy.

Favourite Things at Try it on Tuesdays.

Happy New Year to You, I hope you are recovered from all the festivities over the holidays and ready to enter our first Challenge of 2015 at Try it on Tuesdays, which is 'Favourite Things' - how good is that to get you motivated.
I was full of good intentions to get back to crafty ways straight after Christmas but a nasty cold left me feeling a bit sorry for myself for a few days, but the thought of using favourite things was a great help to finish my project for this weeks challenge.
As you probably know, I love Vintage and lots of my favourite things were used making this little wallet, which holds the memories of this young ladies  trip to Paris.

I die cut the folder using the Tattered Doily, added some embossing paste through a script stencil, and then clear embossed the flower swirl before distressing with Bundled Sage, Tattered Rose, Dusty concord and Vintage Photo inks.

The inside was cut and scored to fit, clear embossed stamping and then distressed with the same inks
My images are mainly Oxford Impressions 'April in Paris' with a couple from Artistic Outpost and Crafty Individuals.  My rose is paper clay, the key and  heart made with UTEE in the Melt Pot.
If you pop over to the main blog, you will see what the DT have made with their favourite things and maybe you would like to enter this challenge and show us what's on your favourite list.

Thanks for your visit,

Avril xx
