D for Die cut at Alphabet Challenge

It's the letter 'D' this fortnight at Alphabet Challenge and we would like to see Die cuts.
I have used a Crafty Individuals image stamped onto the large S/B Romantic Rectangle. Other die cuts include swirls and 2 of the roses are from a rolled rose die cut, the leaves are from the Tattered florals strip die.

Sweet Baby

Oh Dear! I only had one 'New Baby' stamp, PSX Moon Baby - which you will have seen on numerous occasions - I kept telling myself the recipient won't know I use it all the time, BUT with the trend for cards for the Proud Grandparents - I had to buy another one.  Can't have parents and grandparents having the same!
This image is LOTV, bought at GNP last week, so cute!  I was a bit lazy and didn't want to get the sewing machine out for one image, so did some faux stitching with the poky tool!  The sentiment is computer generated.
This stamp is going to get lots of use over the next few months - I have 3 friends about to become Grandparents, DD has 4 friends who are having babies!

Silhouettes at Fashionable Stamping

I have used an image from our sponsor Flonzcraft, which was stamped and then heat embossed with Black EP, onto some cardstock that had been treated to Tim's 'Marbled Stains (minus the spritzing bit) The darker layer is the same technique with Broken China and Faded Jeans -Tumbled Glass on the top layer.
(I wish I could take better photos, I have just noticed, the  panel is square on the black base card and not uneven as it looks in the photo).

Music at TioT

Time for another challenge at Try it on Tuesdays and this time we would like to see Music on your creations.
I have used Clarity's  'La Petite Musique'  for my main image, I cut a mask and and then randomly stamped the Honeysuckle corner over the top half of the image. Co-ordinations paper was embossed with a music folder and then some music tissue papers was added under the flowers.  The little corners, are Cut from white card with a Cuttlebug die, then heat embossed using Moon Glow EPs. for a lovely metallic look.

Smell the Flowers!

It's a while since I posted anything other than a DT card, don't know why, but I seem to have lost the plot lately - I'm off to Harrogate GNP on Saturday, so I'm hoping that will give me a much needed boost!

This tag is a bit different for me - very CAS using the Jofy stamps I received when I renewed my Craft Stamper magazine order.  A mix of Distress Inks for the background, and a quick spritz with water. The flowers, stamped and clear embossed, were coloured with Markers and then coated in Glossy Accents.

Memories of Venice

It's time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping and this time the theme is Water Inspired.
I have chosen Venice - lots of water there - which gave me a chance to use these Darkroom Door stamps, which are not unloved, but they are neglected.  The tag was stamped with black Versafine, and then to make my gondola stand out, I used a Versamarker pen and heat embossed with clear powder. To give a little more depth I stamped the Venezia inside the scroll, and again clear embossed, using foam pads in the centre I glued the sides to the tag. Ticket and label were stamped onto kraft card and distressed (heavily).

'Birthdays with a Twist' at Try it on Tuesdays

Yes that's right  - Birthdays 'WITH A TWIST'at Try it on Tuesdays -  and the Twist is you have to use a Mask (OR a Stencil)
I coloured my tag with Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord, Iced Spruce  and Bundled Sage DIs, then used scrip, sequin waste and harlequin masks with the Dusty Concord, some random stamping with a fern stamp in Bundled Sage, and then a light misting with water. Embossed the bottom and rubbed on some Enchanted Gold gilding wax, this was a nightmare to photograph and I assure  you it's not just a mucky splodge on the bottom!  My 'Queen for a Day' is an old, and I think retired,Crafty Individuals stamp, (which was made at a card class when I first started cardmaking) rediscovered in a bits box. My 'gemstone' crown is Tim Holtz, coloured with Dusty Concord and glitzed with Glamour Dust - well a Queen does have to have sparkle!
