Isn't she Pretty!

Hello and thank you for visiting today, it's time for a new Challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time we would like you to use a Vintage Photo.
I've used on of the Found Relatives for my image and had a little play about with the sizing to fit the film strip.
My background is a mop up with some 2nd generation alphabet stamping that just seems to 'blend in'. A few bits from the stash box and some Wildflower die cuts coloured with Bundled sage and Tumbled Glass.
The rest of the Design Team have some wonderful projects to show, so please pop over to the blog for all the details.
Thanks for popping in, I do appreciate it.

Special Delivery

Hello,  I've not had much time for crafting or blogging lately and this card has sat in pieces on my desk for a week,   I really must try to organise myself, but things keep interrupting me!
Anyhow, I used Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass reinkers for the die cut layer, with a darker blue base.  My flowers were made with the Tiny Tattered flowers, sprayed with Milled Lavender and then stuck onto wired stems , there's also a Wildflower die cut at the back.  The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Correspondence stamps.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you're having a good weekend.

Mid Post Reminder for Artistic Outpost New Release

Hello and thanks for visiting, today I'm showing another card from the Artistic Outpost March New Release using the Harvest set with the Seed Packet Background and I've also used the Grunge Elements on the card base.
Everything was stamped onto Kraft card and I used  my Karismacolour pencils as I wanted a faded vintage look to the colours.  I've used the circle and dots from the Grunge Elements to create the base card.

Play Day

Hello and thanks for popping in today, it's been a while since I've had time to just play for me.
I've used the new Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies - I got these just before we went away on holiday in February and this is the first time I've used them.  Astrid made the most fabulous tag a short while ago and I'm afraid I loved the design so much, I hope she dosen't mind, but I've done something similar.
I've used Tyvek - a friend gave me some very large envelopes a while ago which I use to line my little home made spray box.  There's now quite a few sprayed sheets, and in some glorious colour combinations and some with a lovely sheen from Perfect Pearl sprays.  From one large sheet I've used the top and base for the tag and also cut the butterfly, I used  a thin coat of PVA to attach  to card as the sheets are quite thin and soft, before I die cut.  I stamped in gold pigment ink, but then remembered this stuff reacts with direct heat, so I stamped again in Potting soil creating a shadow effect.
I think you might be seeing a bit more of these sheets in the future.
Well I'm off to do some catching up, as I've been the poorest of bloggers lately,  I developed a chest infection at the end of my holiday and it's taken until this week before I've felt as if I've got some energy at last.
Have a great weekend whatever you're doing, and as it's my Wedding Anniversary tomorrow,  I'm going to make sure I get spoilt!

Mood Board at Try it on Tuesday

Hello and thanks for visiting today and I can tell you about the new challenge at TioT, this time Valerie has challenged us all to use a Mood Board

Let yourself be inspired by the images and colours of spring. Think of the soft colours of the first flowers, the wonderful green of newly opened buds and leaves, the soft and fluffy whites of the young lambs and the swan's feathers, and the blue of a spring sky.Use some of these colours or ideas in your project'

Gorgeous images and colours of Spring, as hopefully it's just around the corner!
I chose the  blue of a spring sky with white fluffy clouds  and spring flowers as my inspiration.
I made my background using Tim Holtz Distressed Damask stamps and heat embossed with White EP, before shading with Tumbled Glass DI, there's also some random script stamped with Picket fence DI, although it doesn't  show in the photo. My next layer was inked with Faded jeans and then the vellum stamped and again heat set with White EP.  The Wildflower die cuts were watercoloured with DI and then
embossed with clear EP.
It would be lovely if you could join us and there's lots of inspiration on the main blog, so please pop over here.

Yellow Blue and White for FSC

Hello,  I can't believe it's the middle of April already and time for another challenge at Fashionable Stamping, Shirley has chosen the theme of Yellow, Blue and White this time, such lovely spring colours.
We have Flonzcraft as our sponsor and they are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.
The background for my tag was heat embossed with white EP, and coloured with Tumbled Glass DI.  My Gibson Girl image is from our sponsor and you can find her here, she was stamped with black Archival and coloured with DIs.  I've stamped words from Tim Holtz onto vellum and added  a piece of film strip.  My butterfly was cut and embossed, coloured with DIs and then coated with Crackle Glaze.  My Yellow is my Tiny Tattered floral roses, which were coloured with Squeezed Lemonade.
It would be lovely if you could join us and if you need any inspirations the rest of the DT have some fabulous pieces to show, so pop over to the main blog for all the details.  Just remember, we are a stamping challenge and do need to see real stamping that follows the current theme.

Thanks for your visit today, I do appreciate it,
