Hello and thanks for popping in today, it's been a while since I've had time to just play for me.
I've used the new Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies - I got these just before we went away on holiday in February and this is the first time I've used them.
Astrid made the most fabulous tag a short while ago and I'm afraid I loved the design so much, I hope she dosen't mind, but I've done something similar.
I've used Tyvek - a friend gave me some very large envelopes a while ago which I use to line my little home made spray box. There's now quite a few sprayed sheets, and in some glorious colour combinations and some with a lovely sheen from Perfect Pearl sprays. From one large sheet I've used the top and base for the tag and also cut the butterfly, I used a thin coat of PVA to attach to card as the sheets are quite thin and soft, before I die cut. I stamped in gold pigment ink, but then remembered this stuff reacts with direct heat, so I stamped again in Potting soil creating a shadow effect.
I think you might be seeing a bit more of these sheets in the future.
Well I'm off to do some catching up, as I've been the poorest of bloggers lately, I developed a chest infection at the end of my holiday and it's taken until this week before I've felt as if I've got some energy at last.
Have a great weekend whatever you're doing, and as it's my Wedding Anniversary tomorrow, I'm going to make sure I get spoilt!
Avril xx
