Blue Poppies!

Hi All,

I'm off to GNP show at Harrogate tomorrow with my friend Diane, soooooooo looking forward to it!
Planning what I 'need' to buy has made me  think about the stamps that have been neglected lately!
This Hero Arts Poppy stamp is one, I suppose because I think of Poppies in the Summer  - so decided that was to change.  I stamped  in Black Versamark and clear embossed onto some white card and then twice again onto some hand made paper (thats the reason for the orange speck on the large flower).  I cut the flowers out and and some extra petals which were fixed with 3D foam pads. Shaded with Promarkers and Blender pen to give some depth.

The card base is inked with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks.
The challenge this week at Make My Monday is Mothers Day/ Thank You Cards, and although my  card is 'Just to Say' the Thank You will be written in the card.

I am also entering this card in:
  Papercrafting Journey - Pretty Pastels
Fairy Fun Fridays - Distress It
Our Craft Lounge - Pretty Petals
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
  Partytime Tuesdays - Monochromatic
  Creative Mondays - Anything Goes

That's it for tonight, need to be up early in the morning - but will I sleep or will I be dreaming of ...........Harrogate!

Less Is More

I missed the challenge at LIM last week - in fact, I think I missed most challenges last week!
So this week - and all quick posts - I have actually managed a few challenges.
The challenge at Less Is More this week is 'The colour of your Nations Flag'.  I have chosen an easy option of red  on white, and used my new Hero Arts Poppy stamp. I inked with Black Versamark and heat embossed with clear powder on a  3" x7" card blank.  Coloured with red Promarkers and then stamped the Thanks sentiment.
A very quick card, but no doubt when I go to link it in and see all the other creative entries I will probably think looks too CAS.
I am also entering this card in the Allsorts Challenge - Red

As I said, a quick post,  DD and I have had a 'girly day' shopping and lunch and tonight we are all going to the cinema to see - 'Harry Potter'.

Thanks for looking and I  hope to catch up with everyone on Friday when DD goes back.

Poppy Card

Just a quick post - (coffee break) I need to get my homework done for tonight - the curtains!  I am going to Crafty buddy Daine's house for the next stage.

DD bought me some crafting goodies for my birthday and this stamp was included, I have wanted this for ages. I used a beige cardstock, and stamped with black Memento and then overstamped with Hero Arts Old French Writing in Vintage Photo Distress Ink, I didn't bother to mask as I have paper pieced the flower heads, this and the Cuttlebug Script panel were then sponged  with the same DI. I stamped  the image on red with Black Versa Mark ink  and  heat embossed this before cutting out the poppies.  I used the same red for the punched panel. I know its nothing too original, but I enjoyed making it and I am looking forward to more 'plays' with this stamp set.

Some challenges for this card:
  Everybody Art - Garden
The Stamp Man - Anything by Tim (Distress Ink)
  Anything Goes Challenge - Flowers
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
  Allsorts - Free & Easy (3rd entry)

Well off to do a some more sewing, thanks for looking.

Button & Bows

Just a quick post to show a card I made a few weeks ago for a friends birthday, which I didn't want to share before her birthday. This friend loves sewing, so I knew she would appreciate this. We met for coffee yesterday and she told me she is going to frame it and put it in her 'sewing room' - what a compliment
I have used a Hero Arts stamp (compliments of crafty friend Diane). I stamped out little dresses onto extra paper, addsed some stickles to the pink one. The tape measure is a scan of my tape measure aged with Antique Linen DI!
Button and ribbon from stash to match the DP. I wrote inside 'Sew Glad We're Friends'.

I have found a few challenges to enter this card in
DYSU - Add a Bow
Totally papercrafts - Buttons
Die Cut Dreams - Mothers Day/Special Friend
Sassy Studio - Own Embellishments
Stamping for the Weekend - For Mum

Hope to finish another card today, after a few jobs (unfortunately),cause tomorrow we're off to Harrogate Papercrafts show and I might just buy a few new goodies to play with!!

Catch you later
