Little Lady in Red

Hello, and thanks for taking time to visit, it's such a busy time but I thought I'd just share another card made using one of Nicecrane's beautiful Christmas images from the Vintage Merry Christmas sheet.
The die cut frame was distressed with Frayed Burlap and rubbed with Frosted Lace Stickles, Tim Holtz Tattered poinsettia cut from vellum, stamped with a music script and coloured with DIs, the snowflake coated with Diamond Dust.  One more for the hand delivered pile!

Have a great weekend - I think mine needs to  be spent wrapping presents - so unorganised this year!

Vintage Christmas

Hello, just a short scheduled post to show another of Nicecrane Design Christmas images.  This one is from the Vintage Merry Christmas sheet. The image was printed onto Ivory hammered card, which gives a lovely vintage texture, cut with Deckle scissors and the Nesti frame cut to fit. The Tim Holtz Tattered poinsettia in vellum was embossed in the CB, and then because it's Christmas - lots of Diamond Dust for sparkle!

Perfect Roses

Hello and thanks for visiting - life has slowly been getting back to normal and I found Mr. Mojo hiding when I was organising the last kitchen cupboard, so I chased him upstairs to my little craft room and closed the door on us - no more shirking!
One of the things  neglected has been the lovely images from  Nicecrane Designs, and this one is  from 'Flowers Bring Smiles II' sheet, has been printed out, waiting to be used for a while.  I covered one of the papers from the Madam Payraud collection with Picket Fence Stain and when dry I added texture paste through a stencil.  My Nesti frame was shortened by cutting half the card and repositioning the frame for the final cut. I used Walnut Stain DI and then randomly sprinkled gold EP before heat setting.  I added small paper roses to the table.

Oh Baby

Hi folks and thanks for your visit,
It's another baby card! yes, you will have seen quite a few this year and hopefully this is the last  - until January when I will need to start again.  So, when Ignacio of Nicecrane Designs sent me Bringing Life Sweet Kids  sheet to work with,  his timing couldn't have been better, and I just had to use this gorgeous baby.
I printed the image on white linen card layered on a scalloped circle. The background is embossed with CB Swiss Dots and one of their border folders and a couple of scored lines. Simple but effective.

Before I go I would just like to say hello to my new followers, it's lovely that you have chosen to follow me on my crafty journey.

That's it for now - Brushos await!

Beauty in Black and White

Hi folks and thanks for visiting.
Today sees me sharing a card that I made using one of Nicecranes lovely images - Bringing Life Vintage Bathing.  Although this image is 'a bathing beauty'  I think she looks like a flapper from the 20's, so I decided not to go down the bathing/beach theme, and  have instead, framed her 'picture' ready to send off to her 'young man'.
That's it for  now,

Birthday Time at In the Pink!

Hello and thanks for visiting today, which sees me entering a very special challenge, it's In the Pink's 2nd Birthday, and although I haven't managed to enter many of their challenges,  I couldn't miss this one, especially as I was one of the Perfect Pinkies of the very first challenge.
I have used a Nicecrane image 'All Season Hats', which was printed out on a Linen card, I stamped a little corner, which was a freebie from Crafty Individuals, using Distress Markers.   My background was pink card, repeatedly stamped with a Stampendous background stamp using Victorian Velvet.
I am also entering this at Simply Create Too as their theme is Old/Vintage

Thanks for looking, and have a good week.

Nicecrane Butterflies

Hi and thanks for taking time to visit today, because if you're like me, time is often short, so much so that this card wasn't finished on time to be some mid challenge inspiration for the challenge at TioT which is 'Things with Wings'.
I have used a Nicecrane image 'Colourful Spring Butterflies' which was printed onto some Linen card, and also some Vellum.  These butterflies are so pretty and colourful, but I wanted a muted vintage look, so everything has been shaded with Vintage Photo distress ink, and then because I also wanted it to be feminine, I added Tattered rose to the edges.  My butterflies were fussy cut from the vellum, and before adding these I 3rd generation stamped with a script stamp over the image. in Frayed burlap.  My background layers are stamped with the same ink.  I dyed some vintage seam binding with Tattered Rose to complete the feminine touch.

OMG!

I know, I can here you saying this image is supposed to be 'Here no Evil, See no Evil and Speak no Evil'  but to me it says OMG! the look of wonderment on this little girl's face is so cute.So I decided to create a Birthday card of disbelief!   The image is from Nicecrane Designs and is called A Child Garden of Verses.
I printed it out onto Hammer card, masked the image and used  Tim Holtz Schoolhouse Stencil with Tumbled Glass. My sentiment was computer generated.

Nicecrane share

Hello and welcome to my Nicecrane share, this time using A Dream of Fair Women , which I must admit is one of my favourites, and you can see the full sheet here.
I have used Prima Botanicals papers and my lovely image was cut using a Deckle edge Nesti.  The little sentiment was included in a little pack of 'freebies' with my last order from Crafty Individuals, and it just seemed appropriate with this image.  My roses are again made with the paper clay, just love this stuff.

Going Japanese with Nicecrane Designs

Haven't managed much crafting time this week, so these lovely images from  Nicecrane Designs came to the rescueas I needed to make a couple of cards to go in the post.I have used these beautiful oriental images called Ogata Gekko and you can see the full sheetof designs here.
My first image was printed onto ivory hammer card which gives a lovely texture to the image, I layered it with gold and black.  The next layer was stamped with Versamark and then brushed with Perfect Pearls in Heirloom Gold.  The sentiment 'Wisdom' was also given the PP finish, and Mizuhiki  cords knotted  for embellishment.

For the second card I printed a Japanese text from the internet onto vellum, which was torn and layered underneath the image, a metal embellishment and the same sentiment, again with PP,  another ' flat' card  as this is going in the post, to a friend who is retiring in a couple of weeks time, I thought the image was perfect as she does like her garden.

I am entering these at

It's been a lovely day here in the N.E. but not too sure it will last over the weekend -hmm.. that might be a good excuse to catch up on some crafting  Anyhow, whatever you do, enjoy the weekend.

I do Love to be Beside the Seaside!

Hello and welcome to some dreams of  warm summer days - hopefully, they won't be too long in coming, or at least that's what I was thinking when Ignacio of Nicecrane Designs asked if I would like to use his new ' Children at the Seaside' images, which you can see here.
I have made a little mini album following this Stack the Deck tutorial.
My label was printed on the computer and I stamped the frame, then triple embossed with Clear EP.  I did intend to collect some shells from the sea shore, but unfortunately, the weather here has been less than kind for this time of the year, so some little shells were stamped and colours and again embossed with clear.  To tie in with this I also triple embossed the image of the little girl and there was no loss of clarity.

I used manila envelopes for my pages and the papers were a freebie with a magazine last summer.  Lots of little pockets and tags tied with scraps of red and blue ribbons.  One thing I like about a project like this, once the papers are cut, then all the double sided tapes can be put on while watching TV at night!

Well, that's it from me, apart from to wish you a good weekend and hopefully there might be a little bit of sunshine about, and to thank you for all your comments lately, I really do appreciate them, especially as I have been so short of time lately that most of the time I have just managed to keep up with DT commenting and not managed to do any personal blog visiting,

Thinking of You

Just a quick post, to let you know that Nicecrane Designs have some beautiful new image sheets available here.  I was lucky and got to use   'A Dream of Fair Women'                   .
I think this lovely lady is dreaming of her Beau and missing him, such a wistful expression on her face!
Crafting time has been in very short supply lately, and I have a few things that have either not been used or not used for a long time, one of which is the TH Cabinet die,  and I thought this would be perfect to frame this beauty.  I used a CB embossing folder on the frame and used Frayed Burlap to highlight the pattern.
To make this into a card, I cut a back, scored 1" down and attached at the top. While waiting for my 'dyed' muslin to dry, I put the card to one side - I have just purchased the TH Frameworks die and had cut a few ready to use - ready to complete the card, I noticed that I had put it down on the 'frame' and it reminded me of old Victorian photos on ornate stands - let me know what you think. (The card does stand by the way - not sure if you can tell by the photo)

I hope that you all enjoy the rest of the weekend and hope the sun keeps shining.

Nicecrane

Two posts in two days -  unheard of over the last few months, and if it wasn't for DT commitments, my blog might haven even gone into hibernation!
However, talking about DT posts, I have some news, Ignacio of Nicecrane Designs has asked me to be part of his wonderful team, so how could I resist working with his gorgeous images.

I chose to work with Children with Dogs for my first pieces.
Isn't this little lady so sweet.  I kept the card quite simple as I didn't want to detract attention from the image. The little butterfly perched on the roses is from Colourful Spring Butterflies 2, which was printed on vellum.

Again, another lovely image, and this time pretty in pink, and perfect for an easel card, something I haven't made in quite a while.
There are lots of fabulous images, so why not pop over to the design store.

Hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday, I'm off to do a bit catching up in the garden as that's a bit neglected at the moment too.
