Vintage

Hello, today sees the start of a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time we're going Vintage

Recently I've been looking through some old photographs and came across this one of my Great Aunt, she was 94 when she died and my Mum and I visited weekly until she died,  she didn't have any other family and had given me all her photos.  I've always loved this on of her as a bridesmaid taken in 1914 at a cousins wedding.

I used an embossing folder on an aperture card, tinted with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo DIs, layered on another piece of embossed card, this time coloured with Aged Mahogany and Walnut Stain.  I've added a garland of tiny tattered floral roses.

This is the group photo of the same wedding and I'm sure you can spot my Great Aunt sitting on the right.

The rest of the DT have some fabulous Vintage Inspiration for you, so please pop over to the main blog, where you will also find the challenge details.

I am entering this a Allsorts - Handmade Flowers

A beautiful family photo to use for your fantastic vintage card Avril. You must have many happy memories of visiting your great aunt The wedding flowers must have been quite a weight to hold back then. I loved the flowers you added to the card.

A wonderful card made with the lovely Great Aunt as a bridesmaid - amazing!
I had also a great Aunt that I loved so much - she had no own children and gave so much love to my mom and later also to me. I lost her as I was 11 and I think of her very often - she will be in my heart forever!!! I love your family project for our vintage theme Avril!

Another treasure showcasing the beauty of vintage, I love seeing personal pictures of our nearest and dearest and there is always an air of mystery behind each face. Your Great Auntie is a framed beauty.
Wonderful family photograph which does make me think how today's generation will document their days gone by.
Thank you for sharing Avril.

It’s a beautiful vintage card. The card is extra special as you’ve used a genuine vintage photo of a family member, that is so charming.
