Curiosity

I've been wanting to play along with Art Journal Journey this month as it's such a fun theme 'Art for Art's Sake chosen by Chris who say's  "it's all about having fun with techniques and supplies (especially if you have some you don't use often)"

I enrolled on Marjie Kemper's online course Inventive Ink a while ago and had so much fun playing with (bright) colours, something I don't do that often, so I thought that was a great starting point for this theme.

I've used mainly Tim Holtz stamps and stencils along with a TWC Mini Daisy stencil, all of which haven't seen ink for a while.  Something a bit different and it was good to get out of the comfort zone.

Wonderful spread, Avril. Fab colours and brilliant words! I think our fears and dreams are often in the same place, but that's just my opinion, lol. I have a stamp that says we can't be brave unxless we face what we're scared of and I think that's so true!

Great stencilling and superb colour choices

Nice journal spread Avril. I like how you added the quote and the butterfly in black ink. They really jump off the page. Hope it isn't too hot where you are. Hugs-Erika

Those colours and the way they blend together make an excellent background for your stencils and stamps - I love that butterfly! The quotes you have chosen go so well together! I am so pleased you had some fun with Art For Arts Sake! Thank you so much for linking to Art Journal Journey! Hugs, Chrisx

Great page, Avril, Marjie would definitely approve. I think she's in Aussieland right now on vacay. I took her class too, still taking my time with it. xoxo

Your choice of colors give me India feeling. I like how your small flowers dance loose around your image. The quotes are also very good. Wonderful composition.
Happy weekend.

It’s a colorful artsy page. Have never tried anything like this. But one day, when I feel I’m in control of my Christmas card stash, I’m planning to give it a go:)
