Artistic Outpost March New Releas

Hello, I'm so happy that you have called in today and I can tell you about the New Release of Artistic Outpost stamps for March.
The Golf Club
Ice Cream Shoppe
Harvest
Grunge Elements
Seed Packets Background

Bottle Caps Background

For my first project, I used The Golf Club,   I began with an inky background using Peeled paint DI and some random splatters from the Grunge Elements.  I created a little scene and  fussy cut my golfer, adding quotes and smaller images from the same set.

My second project uses the Ice Cream Shoppe.  I stamped and masked the ice creams before adding Squeezed Lemonade, Worn lipstick, Spun Sugar and Tumbled glass to the background.  My ice cream girl was fussy cut before adding her along with a couple of the sentiments from the set.

C'est Magnifique!

Hello, this is very unusual - 2 posts in one day!
It's OK, this is just a short one to let you know I'm on the Artistic Blog today with this card, yes I know it's the same image as last week, but I just wanted to show you how versatile their stamps are.
All the details can be found on the blog

Thanks for popping in,
Avril xx

Add a Quote for TioT

Hello, I hope you've all had a lovely Easter and hopefully the weather didn't spoil any plans.
Well, it's back to normal now and time to tell you about the new challenge at Try it on Tuesdays which is 'Add a Quote'.
I need a couple of 'flat for posting' birthday cards, so out came those gorgeous Runway Girls, and I must admit this on is my favourite.  Stamped  and masked, I used Tim Holtz Flourish stencil with Abandoned Coral, shaded the background with Bundled Sage and  Wilted Violet, added little background script stamping with Pumice stone. Coloured her dress with Abandoned coral, stamped and heat embossed a sentiment - the final touch was a little 'bling', well, diamonds are a girls best friend, so they say.
The rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration for you, so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.
Thanks for visiting, however, I will be back later with my AO post, yes I know, nothing for a week and then two!

The Journal continues

Hello, I'm just popping in to remind you that you still have one week left to join in the current  Nature Challenge at Try it on Tuesdays.
I'm determined to keep up with my 'Colourful Journal' and have again used TioT's theme.  The quote is from IndigoBlue and I've used the Tim Holtz Wildflower stamps this time inking the flowers with Victorian Velvet and then Peeled Paint Distress Marker to colour the stems, a little'huffing' and it's ready to stamp.  All the details of the challenge can be found here.
Thanks for visiting today, I do appreciate it, especially as I've been a little bit absent of late, but hopefully by the weekend normal service will be resumed.

It's all about Nature at TioT

Hello,  and thanks for visiting as today sees the start of a new challenge at Try it on Tuesdays, where we have 'Nature' as the theme for the next 2 weeks.
I've had another play with Brushos for my background this time I opted for Violet and Yellow, I know it does look blue on here!  I've used the Tim Holtz Wildflower stamps again with Black Archival and clear embossing powder.   The rest of the DT have some fabulous Nature inspired projects, so please pop over to the main blog where you will also find all the details.
I had a fabulous holiday visiting Kuala Lumpur, Cambodia and then a much needed chill on the beach in Penang.  Unfortunately, I developed a sore throat, cough and sneezes on the long journey home, so it's taking me a while to get myself back on track, but hopefully I'm on the mend now.  Just as well, as I am about to start  a new adventure on the crafty scene.   Just before I went on holiday I was asked if I would like to join the Design Team at Artistic Outpost - so of course I said..... YES, and as of today I am officially part of the Team.
Hopefully I'll catch up with the over the next couple of days,
Avril xx

Butterflies at FSC

Hello, well I'm back from holiday just in time to tell you about the new challenge at Fashionable Stamping, which for this month is Butterflies.  We have Flonzcraft as our Sponsor and they are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.
For my tag, I've used a mop up tag that I spritzed with Biscotti Perfect Pearls.  I stamped and coloured the Tim Holtz butterfly from the Perspectives set and then triple heat embossed with clear UTEE.  I added  the row of butterflies from the Papillion set.
If you need any inspiration for this challenge then pop over to the main blog where you will find all the details and some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team, but don't forget, we are a stamping challenge and the stamping must follow the current theme.
I would like to enter this at:

Make it Feminine & Fancy at Try it on Tuesday

Hello, time to tell you about the new Challenge at Try it on Tuesday which is Feminine and Fancy.
I've got a mounting stack of boxes that DD keeps saving for me, so I decided on a pretty makeover for this challenge.
I added strips of lace, flowers and bits from the 'box', plus some embossing with a couple of stencils, when it was dry, I gave it a coat of Gesso.  It was coloured with Distress stains in Chipped Sapphire,Victorian Velvet, Milled Lavender, and Tumbled Glass. When it was dry I added a couple of shades of gilding wax and a quick spritz of Biscotti Perfect Pearls.
The rest of the DT have some gorgeous makes to inspire you, so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.

This is a scheduled post again, but hopefully I'm relaxing in the sunshine, and when I get too hot, I'll look for some shade and do some blog hopping,
Thanks for your visit, and hopefully, I'll catch up with you soon,
Avril xx
