Flowers in the Sun

Hello and thanks for calling in, I've actually got round to inking up some new PaperArtsey stamps that I bought at Happy Stampers in May.
I need a couple of 'flat' birthday cards to go in the post, so with a little bit of colouring and a background of Yellow Brushos and Wild Honey DI stenciling,  a quick card  and that's one done.
Something a bit different for me.

Have a great day,

Learn to Pause

Hello and thanks for calling in, this poor little blogs been a bit neglected lately, but a wet weekend resulted in some productive play time for a change.

I was wondering what this little girl has could sit on and as she has such a dreamy expression I thought about her just sitting and watching with nothing to do.  So here she is sitting on the garden wall in the sunshine.

I used Crackle paint through a brick stencil and when dry,  rubbed the Distress crayons over and then highlighted the brick pattern with a white pen.  Tumbled Glass crayon for the sky, then Squeezed Lemonade crayon through a stencil for the sun rays  and some wildflowers to complete the scene.
Thought this sentiment was just right.

Lots of showers forecast for this week, so I hope this little girl made the most of her sunshine!

Let it Shine

Hello, 'Let it Shine' is the new challenge at Try it on Tuesday this fortnight, and as usual it's up to you how you interpret this theme,  I've gone for Moonshine.

I got this quote in a bargain bin at the Crafty Individuals stall at Happy Stampers in May and have been wanting to use it, and thought it went so well with the little dancing girl from the Paper Dolls.

I used a Clarity stamp for the moon, masked it and then sprinkled PaperArtsy In the Navy infusions.
the shading on the lower half was done with Bundled Sage DI.  I die cut some black wildflowers, randomly pressed them into a Versamark pad and brushed over some Perfect Pearls.  As we had the moonlight, we had to have the stars, these were stamped and embossed with silver and gold EP.

The rest of the DT have some very varied inspiration for you, so please pop over to the main blog and you'll also find all the challenge details.

Thanks for visiting,

Amaze Yourself

Hello, and thanks for calling in, don't know what your weather's like, but we had a really wet day yesterday, so I had a lovely day in the craft room, caught up on a couple of DT pieces and finished a card using a Distress Oxide background made a while ago.

I've cut apart one of the Paper dolls and partially masked two stamps to create the sentiments.

I am entering this at:

More Mixed Media - Anything Goes  + option pastel

Just a short post, but hopefully I be around to do some catching up later.

Tag Your It!

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this fortnight our theme is 'Tags'

I used corrugated card for my tag and smeared on a rough coat of Gesso before applying a coat of DecoArt Crackle paint.  Next came a sprinkling of PaperArtsy Infusions in Slime and a good spritz of water.  I must admit that no matter how many times I've tried to photograph this tag the colours either look too pale or too dark - sorry.
I've layered up a some Wildflowers, greens and twine over a Frameworks die cut and finished with a twine bow.

The rest of the Design Team have some great inspirations for you, so please pop over to the main blog and you'll also find all the challenge details.

Thanks for all your best wishes for hubby, I'm pleased to say he's recovering well.

Thanks for visiting, have a great day,
Avril xx
