Halloween at Try it on Tuesday

 It's that time of the year again when Try it on Tuesday challenges you to get all spooky and show us your Halloween creations.

I've used my TH  Haunted House die and some Lavinia stamps to create my spooky scene, I certainly wouldn't want to be out in those woods on a dark night!

Autumn Days

     

                                    

It's mid month inspiration time at Stamping Sensations where the current challenge is Autumn.

This time I decided on a little country scene, I've long admired the Pheasant stamp from Lavinia, and making this card was a good excuse to have a little spend and add him to my order.  I've used various masks and inks to create the background scene before stamping the pheasant in black and then using various brown inks,  stamping the branches, trees and mushrooms.

Monochromatic

 

Hello and Good morning, I was privileged  to be asked  to join in at Allsorts challenge this week as their Guest Designer and their theme is Monochromatic (or use only one colour to me and you)

I've used an old Hero Arts poppy stamp for my card.  I coloured the background  by sprinkling lightly with Violet Brushos and I also painted the flowers with the Violet mixed with a little Brusho thickener.  I didn't have a good match for the backing layer, so I  painted a border on a backing sheet with a watery Brusho mix, again using the Violet.

Autumn at Try it on Tuesday

 

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time we are celebrating Autumn.  I love Autumn colours and the leaves are starting to change colour, so that was the  choice for my card.  Yesterday when I took the twins for a walk,  the leaves were falling from the trees and the twins came home with a gorgeous selection of coloured leaves (can't wait until there are lots down and we can go jumping  in them)

I recently followed a  video from Tracy Dutton (Lavinia).

I've used an assortment of little stamps to build up my Autumn Wreath, and stamping  the sentiment, which was a magazine freebie.  A little light stenciling just to add some extra shading.

Autumn at Stamping Sensations

We're celebrating Autumn at Stamping Sensations this month with our new challenge and we have two fabulous prizes from Highlight Crafts for one lucky random winner.

For my Autumn sample I've used Lavinia Chinese Lantern (it's so nice to have play days with a crafty friend and use each other's stamps - as I did here, thank you).  Simply stamped with black Versafine, coloured with inks and pencils, then added a few white highlights.  For the background I lightly sprinkled  Dark Brown Bushos  and spritzed very lightly dabbing with a tissue as I didn't want too much colour.  The sentiment is a Tim Holtz and I outlined the BEAUTY with an orange pencil.
