A Post Card for TioT

Hello and thanks for calling in today, I've got another card to share and to remind you that you still have another week left to join in the Post Card( Mail Art) challenge at Try it on Tuesday.

I've had this image for  a couple of years - one of those just had to have stamps, but it hasn't bee inked up very often, so this was a good opportunity, I've stamped it twice, but only coloured the top rose with Aged Mahogany  Distress ink, both layers were dipped in Vintage Photo Oxide ink.  The DP was sent to me by my lovely friend Chrissie and was just perfect for this card.  The sentiment came free with a magazine.

Well I've got my fingers crossed for a better week, we had no internet last weekend and then I've had major computer problems, but with a little help from DD, which at first didn't seem to solve anything, it's now behaving,  so with some luck we'll get back to normal.

Postcards at TioT

Hello, It's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and for this fortnight it's  'Postcards'  and we would like you to either Make/Design or include a Postcard on your project.

I've made a little seaside scene using Crafty Individuals stamps which were fussy cut and coloured, and then arranged on a paper napkin, that was included with a birthday card from my DT friend Yvonne, which I adhered to the base card.

Flowers in the Sun

Hello and thanks for calling in, I've actually got round to inking up some new PaperArtsey stamps that I bought at Happy Stampers in May.
I need a couple of 'flat' birthday cards to go in the post, so with a little bit of colouring and a background of Yellow Brushos and Wild Honey DI stenciling,  a quick card  and that's one done.
Something a bit different for me.

Learn to Pause

Hello and thanks for calling in, this poor little blogs been a bit neglected lately, but a wet weekend resulted in some productive play time for a change.

I was wondering what this little girl has could sit on and as she has such a dreamy expression I thought about her just sitting and watching with nothing to do.  So here she is sitting on the garden wall in the sunshine.

I used Crackle paint through a brick stencil and when dry,  rubbed the Distress crayons over and then highlighted the brick pattern with a white pen.  Tumbled Glass crayon for the sky, then Squeezed Lemonade crayon through a stencil for the sun rays  and some wildflowers to complete the scene.
Thought this sentiment was just right.

Lots of showers forecast for this week, so I hope this little girl made the most of her sunshine!
