Thanks for looking - this is my first ever canvas - I started this a couple of weeks ago for my DT piece for Try it on Tuesday which this fortnight is Texture, and, I did have an idea of what I wanted this to be like, but this was nothing like it!
Believe it or not - but it started with a lovely old fashioned rose napkin, which was torn and glued to the canvas, covered with a coat of watery Fresco Snowflake paint and then had to be left for more pressing matters, namely the wedding! My idea was a dragonfly in an old country garden, but somewhere in the making I lost sight of the roses after spraying with a couple of Perfect Pearls mists, (they are there in the corners) I used embossing paste with a TCW Mariposas stencil for the dragonfly, and script, then the Hollyhock from Sweet Poppy Stencils that I won a couple of weeks ago over at Craft Room Challenge. To create the depth I inked an Imaginations Leaf Swirl with Iced Spruce and Bundled Sage DIs and then used some embossing paste to bring some leaves to the front. The embossing was covered in various gilding pastes.
There are some wonderful Texture creations on the main blog, so please pop over to have a look and you still have one more week to enter.
I almost didn't post this - not sure if it's ............well you know what I mean. So any comments, pointers or even criticism - but don't be too harsh, all greatly appreciated.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely week.

Avril, it's a beautiful canvas, love it
Gorgeous canvas Avril. I love your textured/embossed dragon fly and script, they have a realistic 3D visual effect, ready to lift off the softly colored canvas.
Have a great week.
Hugs, Katie
