Time for another challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this fortnights theme is 'How Does your Garden Grow' so we would love to see what's in your Garden - Flowers, Fruit Trees, and it's up to you what you make as long as you follow the theme.
This was actually a cigar box, I was given a larger cigar box and inside there were 3 boxes, they still had the wrappers and red ribbons in the boxes.
This was the original
It's now a paperweight...I started by putting some builders sand mixed with PVA in the 'bottom' before sealing along the opening. I then painted it with Mermaid and South Pacific Fresco paints. I stamped the Joffy Flowers and sentiments onto tissue paper and coloured the reverse, I used watered down PVA to add this to the 4 sides, and of course my 'garden' had to have a butterfly, which was added to the top.
The rest of the DT are showing some great gardening skills, so please pop over to take a look.

Loving this altered cigar box Avril... perfect colouring and images too.. and what a fabulous paper weight it's made!
Now.... I have a bag of stamps that I wonder if you'd be interested in.... they're your type.... and I've had them for years and not touched them.... They are from a company in the States and I got them when I was over there... but they're much more your type than mine. Email me if you like and I can give you more details and a pic or two. I was going to put them on Crafty Sellers if you're not interested but keep on thinking to mention them to you.
Big hugs
