I really enjoyed making the burlap panel a couple of weeks ago, and thought it would look good as a 'pair'.
This is my 'bargain' hessian and although not as close a weave, it still took the spray inks and embossing paste. My flower was made with the Tattered Florals and it's BIG - measures 60cm! I thought this sentiment went well with the previous panel.
I've been such a bad blogger of late but life has been a bit up and down lately, (in fact maybe a bit more 'down'- my Daughter in Law's father died very suddenly 3 weeks ago, he was only 63) As always, life returns to normal, but things like that do make you realise how fragile life is and that we shouldn't take things for granted.
Anyhow, slowly getting back to normal now - just need to get the blog visiting up to date.
Thanks for visiting, I do appreciate it,
Take care,
Avril xx

Gorgeous piece! Hugs, Valerie
This is so beautiful.
I like the way you combined that gorgeous flower against the more rustic fabric of the burlap canvas.
Very beautiful indeed.

Avril, your burlap panel is lovely! I love that gorgeous flower and rich texture. I hear you about life's ups and downs and at times it is just hard. I have lost three family members in sudden and unexpected ways over the last eight years and have learned you can't take life or anyone (including pets) for granted. Sorry for your loss and glad you are getting back to some amount of normality! Hugs!
What a beautiful burlap panel, Avril - the texture is so delicate and pretty against the rugged background, and the flower is just gorgeous.
I'm so sorry to hear that things have been difficult lately, and can imagine the shock this must have been for your DIL and the whole family. Take care of yourselves.
