Stormy wildflowers

Hello.....and thanks for calling in today, it's the end of June, and this is the first 'live' post of the month, I know we all call Blogger, but at least it does schedule posts.

We had a lovely holiday at the beginning of June in Icshia, a small island in the Bay of Naples, but that all seems like a distant memory now, as we were only home a few days when hubby became very poorly and ended up in hospital with Pneumonia, but after a week on ICCU I'm pleased to say, he's now recovering well and hopefully, life is returning to normal and hopefully crafting and blogging can resume.

As a start, I thought I'd share this card which was made a while ago using a background and mop up from one of my first plays with the Oxide inks,  I stamped the TH Wildflowers with Black and heat set using clear EP.  I loved the background colours, but it reminded me of a stormy sky and as the sun was shining, it didn't get blogged at the time, I wish our stormy sky outside my window looked as pretty as this instead of just grey!

Well that's it for now, I'll be catching up with you very soon.

Avril xx

Hi Avril, I'm really sorry to hear of your Hubby being so poorly but I'm pleased to hear that he's back at home and on the mend, it must have been such a worrying time for you. Your card is gorgeous and it's hard to believe that your background is a mop up piece. You've made so many lovely cards with the Tim Holtz Florals which inspired me into getting some but I bought the dies. I'll get round to making some stamps with them and some foam soon. Take care and all the very best to your Hubby. Crafty hugs, Sandra x x

Hi Avril..

Your card is fabulous and I love that you created the background with a 'mop up' after playing with the Oxide inks.. I've not taken the plunge yet, but may have to soon! The sun is just about shining in this part of Yorkshire, so hopefully it's on it's way up to you.

So sorry to hear your hubby has been poorly - it must have been a worrying time. Glad to hear he's on the mend now - I bet your nursing skills were tested!

Beautiful card. Glad to hear Hubby is on the mend. Did you see any of the glorious sunsets whilst on the Island. We were watching from the mainland and saw some spectacular ones setting over Capri and Icshia. Hugs Mrs A.
