Rain and more rain so what's a girl supposed to do? Craft of course!
A productive day in the craft room and a crafty afternoon with a friend yesterday - can't think of anything better!
I've admired this Art Journey stamp, so when she just happened to fall into the basket, well I couldn't put her back. An inky background with Dried Marigold and Twisted Citron Oxide sprays, stencilling with Victorian Velvet DI and some neglected Tim Holtz stamps before masking off and stamping 'Freya' with Versafine Onyx Black. I am entering this at Stamping Sensations, where the theme this month is Show Your True Colours.
I also made a tag to join in the challenge at Tag Tuesday which is Beverages. The image is one of those little 'freebies' that come with your order from Crafty Individuals. I've used a stencil and Distress inks for the background.
Well, it looks like today has more rain in store, will it ever stop.
Have a great weekend whatever you're doing.
Avril xx

Gorgeous and very feminine card, and the tag is wonderful, what a pretty stamp. Thanks so much for joining us at Tag Tuesday much appreciated! Strange how things fall into baskets when we go shopping, a pair of shoes jumped at me and wouldn't let me go this week! Enjoy your weekend hugs, Valerie

I think I've done more crafting than I've done all year with it raining every day Avril. We have a little sun here today, so I'm hoping that it lasts. I love your card. It's so pretty and with a lovely serene feel to it. Your tag is fabulous too. Wishing you a very happy weekend x

It's always time for tea!
Lovely tag and sweet bird.
All the best Jan
Inks and stamps in beautiful harmony! Wow. Love the style of your card and tag.
I love Art Journey, too... I'd never have guessed in a million years that you used Twisted Citron on this. The background looks way too subtle for that, lol, which I always think of as an 'in your face' colour ;-) You've created a real beauty here.
