I've made a journal page using a torn napkin, that came in some happy mail from my friend and blog DT Yvonne. I've used a home made trellis stencil and then a brick one to create the background. Next came a script stencil and to fill in the bottom some stencilled leaves. I stamped a 'vase' from a Paperbabe stamp set that I won from Tracey a short while ago, I fussy cut this for my die cut lavender. There's nothing nicer than the smell of lavender in the garden on a summer's day, so of course I had to use this sentiment from a Jofy set.

Ah the sweet smell of lavender.....sums up Provence for me! I'm yearning to be there....soon! It's pouring rain and I'm longing for better weather so I can't wait to get away yo the chalet!

Thats really lovely Avril - I can almost smell the lavender :)
It also reminds me I need to trim our Lavender which we leave with the dead heads on all winter for a few Goldfinches that seem to visit them when the weathers bad.

So nice your lavender card. So much details put together in harmony. I love the smell of lavender so much too. It is so calming and also refreshing. Just today I bought a lavender for our garden.

I am in awe of this amazing journal page. Both vintage and romantic, it takes me back to my childhood where lavender bushes surrounded my home.
