Well, She's Certainly got the Look - which is my second piece to remind you that you still have one week left to join in our Challenge at Try it on Tuesday, pop over here for all the details.
Another journal page that started off with an Andy Skinner Strike the Pose stencil that I bought about 2 years ago and this is the first time I've used it. I made a 'mask' to keep the face clean and although it looks White, I had added Tattered Rose Distress spray stain to the page first. Stamping and stencilling in the background topped off with flowers from a TWC Kasia stencil and a Tim Holtz quote.
Watching folks journal from the sidelines and then taking the plunge, so to speak - I'm really enjoying this and from worrying if I was 'doing it right' I now realise it's just 'do it' and there's no 'right or wrong', so this really is a journal journey for me. As my inspiration for this page is the current challenge at Try it on Tuesday I'm going to join in at Art Journal Journey where this month Gill is hosting the theme Inspired by.
I'm also entering at Country View Crafts - The Written Word
Thanks for calling in today,
Avril xx

Beautiful girl and page Avril - and such a lovely background and quote too.
Your absolutely right - there's no right or wrong way and I just wish I'd learnt that earlier instead of wasting so much time worrying - just go for it :) I'm so pleased that you shared this at AJJ - thank you.

What a wonderful page! I'm loving your journal journey too, your pages are always so beautiful. I love reading how you create them too and the way you masked the face looks amazing and the TH stamped quote is a great one 😁. There are definately no right and wrongs in art journalling, I'm always having fun experimenting and trying new things, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't ...lol 😉. Wishing you a very happy week! J 😊 x
