Hello and thanks for calling in, I've had another play with the Flower Vase set to create a tag for a special gift.
For the background I used Crackle paste with the Gothic stencil and then Distress Inks, but didn't like it, so a coat of Gesso and then some Antique linen DI shading - much better. The sentiment was stamped over the embossing, what would we do without the stamp platform! I added some vintage lace and then the flower jar.
This is a scheduled post as we're having a short break away in one of my favourite cities, Budapest.
Some of you asked how the hedgehogs were getting on, before we came away they were still coming, although not often together. I'm wondering if they might have hibernated by the time we get back, I'll let you know.

A gorgeous tag, Avril. Love the background but I also love the way you used the vase of flowers - I have a sheet of paper coloured and ready to cut and a card ready to blog, using these :-)
The lace is a perfect finishing touch to this.
Have a fabulous time in Budapest - somewhere I've never visited but I hear lovely things about it. I'm sure you deserve a break :-)

It certainly will be a special gift with that tag Avril, love the background textures and then the pretty vase of flowers. Like you I find my stamping platform so useful, I eventually succumbed earlier this year and then wondered why I had resisited for so long.

Avril this really is most beautiful, the background and delicate lace trim are the perfect addition to that jar of flowers.. you really do keep tempting me to purchase these, I may just have to give in!!

Adding a stamped sentiment on there was a bold move, I’d be too afraid to ruin everything. Turned out great though. Awesome background and that flower vase stamp is a gem.
That's a scrumptious background... your change of direction has given it such depth. Lovely vintage look. Hope you've been enjoying Budapest - I agree, it's a wonderful city.
