Wish You Were Here!

It's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and for this fortnight we 'Wish You Were Here'.

I've opted for a one layer,  day at the seaside with my vintage images from Crafty Individuals.  I stamped the standing lady first, stamped her on a post-it note, fussy cut and masked her off, then stamped the postcard, masked that with a post-it note and finally stamped the beach huts.  I've used Distress inks to colour.

The rest of the Design Team have some wonderful  places for you to join them, so please pop over to the main blog, where you will also find all the challenge details.

Thanks for calling in,
Avril xx

Perfect Avril. I love these vintage beach ladies. Beaches here in the US don't have those cute little beach huts either. I think they are really cute in their assorted colors. Hugs-Erika

Well Avril, I'm pleased to say that we did all manage to make different cards in the end, although we've enjoyed using our Crafty Individuals and Creative Stamping stamps lol :) Your card is wonderful and I'm a little sad that CI no longer sell the postcard one as I think it works so well with all the other stamps. Many thanks for asking me to join you in this theme as I've really enjoyed being a part of it. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

A beautiful beach scene card Avril and your design is fantastic, it must have taken a while to create, but it sure makes you wish you were there when looking at the card.

Really love this deco, Avril. Do the stamps remind you of Artistic Outpost? They do for me. Love how your masking turned out, super job. xox

Lovely vintage beach scene Avril - nice work with the masking.
I wished I hadn't zoomed in to read the words properly though - as now I will be humming that song for the rest of the day :)

I would love to visit the sea, since I live in the middle of my country and there's no ocean anywhere near when I live. Those adorable beach huts drew me in, too. I like BOTH your tag and your card. I'm also impressed with how you masked the focal image. This is a great challenge and I look forward to joining soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
