Beautiful Story

Hello and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums celebrating - or should I say trying to celebrate in these strange times of social distancing and self isolation.

Tag Tuesday's theme this fortnight is Women/Mothers Day/Feminine , a lovely theme for this time of year, and it gave me a chance to use my new Prima stamps. I've also added some roses from a  napkin.

I hope you're all staying safe - although this social distancing is hard.   My daughter had decided she was still visiting today, albeit  in my back garden - she kept her distance by sitting on a chair at the back in the sunshine while I sat and talked to her from inside the house with the patio door  open.  I still made her a coffee, putting it on the step just outside and closing the door as she collected it.  Unfortunately she's self isolating after her hubby was sent home with a fever yesterday.  The joys of front line pharmacist's.  It really does make you appreciate ALL staff who need to work to keep the country running at the moment.

We did much the same yesterday Avril, the fact eldest daughter lives across the courtyard and we have beautiful gardens around us makes me feel very fortunate as we can at least see one another. As she said yesterday lets hope we have a beautiful summer and do our social distancing in the sunshine.

I think the expression on your vintage lady very much sums up how most of us feel right now, a beautiful piece with the Roses as well. Stay well and safe.

This is a gorgeous tag AVril. That woman stamp is amazing. I hope you had a wonderful Mothering Sunday even with all this virus chaos. Too bad you couldn't get close to your daughter. We are doing the same. Our daughter is staying away so we can all stay safe. Hugs-Erika

Your tag is just beautiful Avril! I love the napkin roses too. I hope your son-in-law is ok and it turns out to be a cold/flu. Let him know we all admire and respect what they are all doing for us. Thanks so much for joining us at Tag Tuesday xxx

That's a really beautiful tag, Avril - the rose is gorgeous and works so well in the foreground as the troubled woman gazes past it towards us. Love the vintage script too.

Do hope your son-in-law will be okay, and that you've done enough distancing to make sure the virus doesn't spread to you. Stay safe.

Such a beautiful tag! The lady looks so beautiful with the pretty roses, I love how you used the napkin, now I'm wondering what you use to stick the napkin in place? My most recent page is using napkin and I got into a soggy mess using gel medium ...lol 😉. Sounds like you had a lovely Mother's Day and I hope your son-in-law is ok, he is such a star looking after us all in these troubled time! My sister works for the NHS so I appreciate all the people keeping things going too. Take care and sending happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x

Love this creation -- what a time we are living in for sure. Just heard that Prince Charles has tested positive for our pandemic virus -- I sure hope the Queen stays well and her husband too!

A very lovely tag, Avril and a belated Happy Mum's Day. I keep forgetting you guys have a couple of holidays that are different from ours in America. I may have to not see my daughter since it is becoming evident that this may go on into summer for immune-compromised peeps like me. Our Mother's Day is May 10th so I'm not getting my hopes up. Take care and stay healthy! xox

Your tag is beautiful ~ I love the script and the roses ~ all the detail you added is lovely. I'm glad you were able to visit with your daughter too. My sister stopped by today and she lives alone and is so lonely and I couldn't hug her since my husband is still working with the public also. Hoping and praying this ends soon ~ Keep crafting!
