Lovely Ladies

We're starting a new challenge this week at Try it on Tuesday and the theme is Lovely Ladies, so as long as there is a female image on your project, please join us.

I've lots of lovely lady images and I had trouble picking which one to use, this was a 'must have' a couple of years ago, but she hasn't seen ink for a while.  I stamped onto white card and then masked the image before blending Oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac and then carefully misting with water and mopping with a dry tissue before removing the mask.  The sentiment is from an old Darkroom Door set.

The rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration for you, so please pop over to the main blog for all the challenge details.

It's a while since I entered any challenges - I really must get my act together!

I've joined in with Allsorts who are Celebrating their 11th Birthday - Anything Goes (a great achievement.)
and also at Daring Cardmakers - Inky Backgrounds

Thanks for calling in,
stay safe, Avril xx

Isn't she such an elegant lady Avril and so striking against the subtle inky background.

When I fist looked at her it reminded me of a piece of footage the media often use of the Queen Mother visiting the Blitz ruins during the war, she had a hat just like this one and a fur (dare I say Fox) round her neck.

Thanks so much for sharing and joining us at Allsorts challenge.

She certainly is a beauty wearing that elegant feather in her hat so well, it sure is a hard choice when we have such amazing images to play with in our collections, it would be a hard challenge for me to chose one from mine. Glad you brought her out to re-ink her she really is lovely. Hugs Tracey xx

Love the style of the image, one that looks great uncolored, but your card is still beautifully colorful, with your inky work on the white space.
