I inked up a few sheets of watercolour paper with various DIs and die cut the skeleton leaves, one of the pieces I didn't use was stamped with an old IndigoBlu crackle stamp, torn and added to in inked journal page before layering my leaves which had also been stamped with the crackle and heat embossed with clear and then bronze EP. The verse was a freebie from a craft magazine.
The rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration for you so please pop over to the main blog where you will also find all the challenge details.
As there's lots of layers and embossing, I'm also linking this to Art Journal Journey where Jo has chosen the theme of Texture this month.
Thanks for calling in,
Avril xx

Wow, what a gorgeous autumnal page! I love all the different layers of autumn colours with the torn edges of the watercolour paper and skeleton leaves 😀. The quote is one of my favourites too - perfect! Thanks for the inspiration and for joining in the fun at Art Journal Journey too! Wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs, Jo x
Those skeleton leaves are amazing Avril. I like how you used the rough edged base for them also. It does feel like fall. Happy rest of your month. Hugs-Erika

Hey Avril! "Hey" is a greeting one finds in the Southern United States. So when I say hey - I am say hello.

Really gorgeous project, lovely design and colours used. xx
Hi Avril, I love this card you have made but then I do like the colours of autumn and you have captured them perfectly. This is absolutely gorgeous, from the torn piece that forms the back-cloth to the individual leaves. Such rich and beautiful colours.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps can I ask who makes the dies for those leaves please?
They're the Tim Holtz Skeleton leaves. Hope this helps.
This is perfect.
Wonderful Autumnal colours and texture :)
All the best Jan
What’s not to love about the wonderful colours of autumn and that’s a lovely little verse you’ve used too. I’m missing the delights of the Fall in New England this year and apparently it’s about 3 weeks early thanks to a dry summmer and a cold snap a few weeks back!

Love those skeleton leaves, although i'm a sucker for leaves full stop. Beautiful composition and that freebie verse/sentiment works a treat. Love this theme Avril, hope I get chance to link up and share again before it closes. Hugs Tracey xx
Just love your colourful skeleton leaves all heaped up in a pile ready for shushling through!!

We all love Autumn and those gorgeous colours. This page evokes piles of dry crisp leaves that we secretly like to shuffle through like children delighting in the rustling the leaves make. love it x
